Can you embed you tube videos on your site and then lock them with content locker

I was wondering if it is ok to put youtube videos on your own site with the youtube embed code and then lock the page with a content locker. I was thinking of doing this with cool videos and maybe movie trailers and such. Is anyone doing this and is it ok with cpa networks?

I think it should be alright as long as the content/videos are originally made by you.

You should definitely ask your AM for better answer and to get rid of any possible problem.

I think you can do it, but I have a question for you, why would someone complete the survey from the content lock to see the video that he can see free from any stress directly on youtube?

    yes, you could do that.
costi has a fair point though. I'd download the youtube movie and play it in a custom player. once people will see it's a youtube vid they won't fill out the content lock, but just go straight to youtube.

If you were going to do this (and I don't recommend it) you should download the video yourself and just add it to your site so it doesn't look like it's available on youtube

    Yes you can do this.

Now, costi does have a point. However - you're not going to tell them that the video is available on YouTube; and your visitors won't likely know this at first.

The best way to handle this is to take a screen shot of the video and have your locker open when the video image is clicked. And then when the offer is complete - have the locker redirect your visitor to the desired content.

Adscend Media has the features you need to do this. Blam too.

Lastly, be sure to "sell" the shock value of your content so you can get maximum clicks
