    What are traffic sources?
Source from where you are getting visitors on your website , for example when some one says facebook is our source of traffic , he means they get visitors from facebook.
And what does it mean when a network is "scrubbing" you?
It does means that if network charge back your commissions (happens if you provide bogus traffic which don't convert on back end )

Well said SpeedylikesKJ. I would add after you do your research for the sources you plan to implement, choose which ones are more productive for your needs. It may be Facebook, it may be Google maps, it may be forum posting. I would also suggest to focus on only one or two sources at a time until you can automate that or have a system in place that continue to keep visitors coming back.

Traffic sources = where you get people to come to your website. Some are "free" (cost no money but require time and labour), some charge per visitor (click such as PPC like Adwords)

Scrubbing = a network will always get fraudulent leads and sales of people who punched in fake data, so they will just delete those. Examples are wrong telephone numbers, names on lead based programs.

Any questions just let me know,

Basically a "place" or just a source where the visitors to your website are coming from.

    Most common traffic sources are:

SEO (traffic coming from the SERPs because your site is ranking well in the SERPs
PPC (paid advertising when you pay on a pay-per-click basis)
PPV (similar to PPC only here you are paying per view, so even if a click is not made you still pay for the view of your ad)
Video - you can upload your videos to Youtube and other video-sharing sites and put a link to the description beneath the video and gain traffic that way
Forums - By having a link in your signature on the forums and contributing to the forums by creating valuable posts

Similar to scrubbing leads, although it may be more intentional/malicious on the network's part. For example, if you convert on 10 quality leads, the network may only pay you out on 7...they shaved 3 leads.
