Hi,

I am promoting Peerfly zip offers. I am new to Peerfly and I am promoting with 7search. In your opinion do specific items like 'cellphone' 'computer' 'TV' convert better than a gift card for a company like Costco, Walmart, Target etc?

I'm asking because today I tried to run a Walmart offer and I got a conversion rate of 4% Is that bad?

Is it possible to get any kind of e-mail offer to convert at 10% or more?

It all depends on your audience. You should always split test between them so you know what works best for that audience. It sounds like you're off to a good start.

Yes, it is possible to get over 10%.

Any offer can work, just ask your affiliate manager what is converting the best right now and try what you think you can promote the best.

I concur with Greedy - strike a good rapport and releationship with your AM - he can save you and make you money by pointing you in the right direction every week.

From the sound of it, you have started out well. 4% is not bad at all! Test, test, and then test more, and keep optimizing your campaigns using that data.

Everything seems that the AM is our best friend. If a network does not have a AM that helps, i think is better find another with a good AM. Maybe that can be the difference between good cpa networks and poor, as well as payment

Most of the time, you can ask your affiliate manager what offers can convert over 10% and how to achieve those numbers.

Plus, it all depends of the kind of traffic that you are getting.

Well, I do have records of what offers convert. I am now trying a offer that converts at 12%. But I have no way of knowing how that offer converted. Was it Search PPC, Social PPC, Banner Display, PPV/CPV, Contextual? Who knows. And if it was Search PPC, what search engine converted?

You're right in thinking that different types of traffic will produce different conversion rates. Sometimes you can get a better idea by looking at what types of traffic the offer accepts. Email traffic will often produce some of the highest EPCs and conversions. Contextual and PPV will be on the lower end, and others will fall in the middle.

So, if you see an offer with high conversion rates that allows PPV traffic, it's generally a good sign that it will convert well!
