I'm sure you know this greedy, but for anyone else reading, there is a way to send traffic directly to the clickbank vendors order form (bypassing their landing page). You usually have to get permission from the vendor though.

This is interesting since I've seen some ClickBank offers with a 15 minute video before the "Buy Now!" button is even shown. On seeing these offers, I wondered if the lengthy video really helped or hurt the conversion rate.

It generally helps. Seems very counter-intuitive, but it almost always works.

CPA all the way. Much easier to generate leads than sales. Keep it simple.

I like Clickbank if you re promoting something with Recurring income. If you are promoting an offer that has a monthly billing system then you are getting a monthly payment.

Imagine you are promoting an offer that pays $20. You sell 5 in a month for $100. If you have a 20% retention rate then you will have a perpetual $20 per month. After 5 months you will have $100 per month. The vendor is doing all the work.

If you promote a CPA offer but capture emails first then you are golden because you can promote to your list.

If you have no list then my vote is Clickbank long term. If you want some quick easy money then go for CPA.

A difference is that while in ClickBank people get to pay for something, CPA makes you money without making people pull out their wallet. A big plus for CPA.

    CPA faster payments.

Another thing. When a CPA offer converts for you, you get paid, there is no refund. In ClickBank, you can get killed by refunds.

    For me: CPA > ClickBank.

I don't think you should ever do one or the other. Do BOTH.

    Why limit yourself?

They both have advantages and using higher payout offers in a niche is always a good idea.

Its all depend on the person, If you are looking just to promote CPS offers tha i would suggest you to go for Clickbank only. Other than that CPA in better in most of the prospects.

There's no "usually" about it, Sean: you have to have the vendor's permission - period.

You also wouldn't be setting your affiliate cookie on your prospective customers' computers, so you'd be paid only the sales of people who buy immediately after clicking on your link, and not on any returning customers. (How many people buy a ClickBank product at their first visit to its sales page?!).

When you ask this question in the CPA Forum, Donny, guess what most people who happen to read the thread are going to tell you?

better you focus at single target first, for example CPA ... if you have big budget, think is no problem if you try both of them ... the problem is if you have small budget..

True, but in some situations it can make sense. You really should know what you're doing before attempting this.

All depends on what "style" of marketing you bring. Everyone here has their own unique way of marketing even if we all use the same sources. Some people CPA is better other Clickbank. If you are afraid to invest your own money into something chances are your gut is right and you shouldn't promote it in the first place. Its your money, Its your business, Invest in what YOU think is the right choice because once you invest you can't back out. Unless you decide to GIVE UP which 99% of people do.

I agree with some of The Warriors here...why limit yourself to one or the other? I use multiple CPA companies and multiple affiliate networks. I don't use Clickbank very much because they are slower to pay and they have a lot of crap products that have high refund rates. I prefer using JV Zoo, you can sometimes get paid instant commissions and see the refund rate and conversion rates. I also use Warrior Plus because they show similar stats as JV Zoo. With CPA you don't have to worry about the refund rate and focus more on generating leads. The best advice is to test different methods for yourself and see what works best for your own online business. I also suggest that you build a mailing list.
