Do CPA networks check backlinks??

Or do they only check the Referrer? For example before they pay you they check your referrer which is your website or landing page. Do they ever check what website you are driving traffic to your landing page?. I heard that some do but some just check the referrer before they pay you.

    It depends on the quality of the traffic, if it looks bad then they may ask or check. This kind of makes me worry/wonder why you are asking this?

I am only asking because I have an automotive landing page that leads to an automotive offer. i am advertising my landing page on a car dealer reselling website. (no its not a classified website its a 100% car dealer site)
