How do you define a campaign?

On one of the paid forums, I notice, well its discussed here also , a 1 in ten success rate for finding successful campaigns.

I assume that means Ok here is an offer from a CPA. I take this offer, I give it a buget and test the offer until it hits the amount of the payout that I have spent, or X times the payout (lets say 1-3 times) , Then if it is still not break even or hitting a profit, I let that campaign go, kill it or however you term that. Ok that means that one didnt work. So on to the next offer?

so that is one of the ten tests? that offer that didnt work and my budget was exhausted?

So then if I am doing landing pages and I now change the landing page and give that same offer 15 more dollars to test, then that is test number two?

I am confused on how they say I test ten times to get one success. Do they mean test 10 different offers? Or I test each offer and change it ten times to get it to work?

Would you mind linking to where people have said this? I'd like to give it a read.

    I believe it's 10 different campaigns.

Also, the idea is to learn which types of campaigns fit you and your method. When one campaign is successful, try to see how it was different from the other ones that didn't work out until you optimize your campaign selection.

    It's a learning curve...

I am beginning to come to the conclusion that without MTMJohn, this forum would be like a boat without a rudder
