Extreme drop in serps : What would you do?

I accidently uploaded a disallow robots.txt to my domain root and ended up lossing all its rankings.

I fixed the robots.txt and resubmitted my sitemap. Hopefully the errors in WMT gone quite quickly.
Google has recraweled the home page, but the serps and traffic is not coming back.

The algorithm should have some memory in it in terms of recognizing where you used to be.

If your content is good and was something Google respected in the past, it shouldn't take much time getting back up there.

not to be bearer of bad news but it may be to late if they did that much to your site already...best bet is to send them an email and start a convo with them asking what happened.

How long has it been since that happened? And how long did it happen for?

You need to wait for Google to update their indexing. Usually it's up to 2 weeks and a month.

I remember it takes a few days for them to recrawl your site.

It's the new Google algorithm change.

Don't worry, they will change it soon.

      It's real funny for them.

When you search "get my iq" , a tax refund appear.
When you search "tumblr + keyword", tumblr become tumble.

The best way is to start doing something else and not waste time.

I would advise TS just to wait. I had a similar story with one of my websites. It came back in several weeks and now is performing never better

Why let Google hold a gun to your head with so much leverage over your business?

Research your competitors, pay for traffic, optimise and scale.
