Starting up my first affiliate marketing campaign.

I have found a good offer on ClickBank, and I was wondering if there's a cheaper-than-Adwords but also high quality PPC ad traffic source you could recommend. If not, I'll just run with Adwords.

Thanks in advance, and it's great to finally sign up after months of lurking.

Facebook ads are confusing so I won't. I just put up a campaign and lost $3 since 6 people clicked on a page I created with the ad inside, which only 1 of the 6 clicked on... Google it is.

If you just Google search "Facebook ads guide" you will get a ton of really great results. I highly recommend trying Facebook first. You can laser target for cheaper and experience good conversion rates with the right offer.

There's no tutorial specifically on what I'm trying to do; get interested traffic straight to my link. What are some quality sites that do that?

You are going to have hard time promoting clickbank offers through adwords.
    Google doesn't like affiliates.

Not google, not Facebook, know any other sites that are high quality and will allow me to promote the offer?

If you want large amounts of traffic, then go with Google and/or Facebook. But, I wouldn't advise direct linking. Go the extra mile and set up a landing page. But it's not just about "getting traffic" or finding that easy traffic source. You say you lost $3... no matter what traffic source you get into, you may "lose" a bit at first, but I don't look at it as losing the money...

Simply buying data. So no matter what traffic source you end up using, expect to spend some money "buying data"... which will then allow you to optimize your ads, and then, and only then, maybe you'll see some sales.

But don't expect to throw up a link, send some traffic and sit on easy street. It's going to take effort, skills, planning, patience, and persistence. I say all this because judging from your post ALONE, it looks like you just want to throw up a link at any "easy" traffic source and start rolling in the bucks. I could be wrong, and I hope I am... because this is a business just like any other, but it's probably one of the lowest barrier to entry businesses out there that you can start from the comfort of your home.

Losing $3 is nothing. In order to test properly, you're going to have to spend $100-$200. You'll eventually make that back when you create a compelling landing page with an attractive offer. From what I read here, nearly everyone who pays for traffic loses money at first, and the most persistent recoup their losses and go on to make great money.

OP, you spent $3 and you gave up on FB?
Have you seen people struggling over 3 months to earn his $1?

Cheer up my friend, learn from the hard way, if you don't get beaten, you won't feel the pain, you won't learn the REAL thing.

It's not that it was $3, it's that I did it completely wrong. I had no idea that it only led to a FB page with the link inside.

Thanks for all the posts, I really appreciate it. Now, I will learn to create a landing page, then resume my marketing campaign attempts.

The best PPC alternative to Google is Bing Ads, you can run you ads on Bing and Yahoo search.

You need to do more than $3 worth of testing when just starting out, I spent around $500 before I started see my money come back from paid ads.

If you don't have that kind of budget you start with free traffic sources, like Youtube is great for example!

I'd say after Adwords, bing is the second best bet.

The comments above are all good. You need to create a very cmpelling landing page before you run your campaign. It is also a good idea to split test at least two different pages if you are making your own landing page just to see which page is more effective in terms of conversion. Good luck!

I'm confused, why do you need such a high budget to test? All I see are people saying you need a lot of money but you don't really explain why. I just lost $16 on bingads, it brought me 360 clicks and 0 conversions. I'm sending the traffic to my lp, I don't really know what to do.

Because you need to test different offers, different keyword, different LPs, and then review the campaign's tracking and make changes.

It is really rare that you will setup a campaign, and spend $10 and hit a homerun. It takes testings and tweaking to make most campaigns profitable.

That is why people are saying $3-$20 is not enough.

Especially if you are new to CPA that testing period is going to make longer.

    Warakizi is right

the main good ones right now we are killing it with is BING, FACEBOOK (which is killer targeting) and 7search, but 7 search is losing its power a bit.
