    Digg, Propeller, Folkd.

Google Bot pretty much lives on those sites. I can normally get a page indexed within 15 minutes using those sites.

    Hi Spencer,

I use Wordpress with the Google XML Sitemaps plugin. With the right keywords and a quick social bookmark or two you can get decent traffic within a couple of days.

    Cheers

I agree with Daniel. Another way is to type your domain name you want indexing fast into those rank my site/check website stats websites etc, like these:

WebsiteOutlook, StatBrain, CubeStat, WebTrafficAgents, BuiltWith, WhoIs, QuarkBase, URLfan and AboutTheDomain

Most are high pr sites and can get you indexed pretty quick

Getting indexed and getting traffic are two seperate issues.

Once you are indexed you need to work hard to get and keep a top 10 ranking, because that is the only way you will generate traffic.

    So:

Pick a keyword set relevant to your site, check the search volume to make sure its what other people think not just you, then optimise a landing page for that term.

Finally, build backlinks as fast as you can; with your keyword set as the anchor text.

Only then will the leads come in, and you then just have to work ;ike crazy to keep yourself in the top 10!

Good luck and make sure you have fun too!

This question gets asked a zillion and one times.

How come nobody ever states the obvious:
Put the url in your sig here, and chances are it is indexed in
seconds. If not, you have a problem. Build a back link at the
same time, eventually that equals traffic.

I can never figure out why people always seem to think it takes
all sorts of gymnastics to get a site indexed. If you can't get your
site indexed quickly, then your site has major problems.

Join a popular, heavily indexed forum that allows signature links and post your new sites to your signature, then go in and provide some useful, helpful solutions to problems.

If you want to be subtle and appear less spammy, create a sig like this:

This is my sig, I blah, blah, blah.....
And link each of the commas and dots to your niche sites. In most cases, heavily trafficked forums get posts indexed minutes after they are created, this means if you create a new post, or reply to a popular one, you are going to force a crawl of your site's URL.

I've been doing this for about 3 weeks now and no longer have any issues with sites indexing (and in most cases ranking) in the SERPS.

Heres an idea for you... The World Series is on now and will dominate sports discussion boards for the next two weeks or longer. Google will be all over this. Find a popular high PR forum that targets this subject and join. You can talk about the game every night and get your sites indexed at the same time.

      Good thread.

It is important to distinguish between getting crawled and actually getting indexed. Two very separate things and speed of indexing can vary enormously from site to site, time-wise.

A Digg post will get crawled very fast - Google Alerts proves this constantly but check if the site has been added to the Google Index by pasting the exact URL of the new site into a Google search and see if it is there and also use the site:mydomain.com search operator to see which pages from that new site have been indexed.

A regular WP site that is properly optimised and is being posted on every day should get indexed within a few days (but crawled much sooner).

The process is in these three steps:

Googlebot crawl/s >>>> Indexing >>>> SERP Ranking (through backlinking)

As indicated above, time between the crawls and actual indexing varies dramatically.

Obviously, a site can't rank in the SERPs if it hasn't been indexed, no matter how many times it's crawled or 'seen' by the bots (and reported in Google Alerts).

      Hope that helps!

        Terry,

Thanks for that reply. I've been noticing that as I try to get my forum profiles indexed. I built an html page with links to my profiles, and have been getting google to crawl that html page. And I'm sure it has crawled onto it since it has indexed the places where I put a link to the html page. but it has not indexed the html profiles page. My question is. even though that html page was not indexed, did google crawl onto all the links in that page leading it to my forum profiles? and if it did that, will it find my backlinks even though it didnt care to index the html profile link page?

I'm pretty new here and I've done everything i'm supposed to do for my site, now I just need google to find my backlinks.

Hey Terry! you make it very clear, thanks for the information !

Google usually take few days to a week to include the crawled page in their index, and I normally wouldn't care much, just continue building more links.

In my opinion there is not just one thing you can do to get indexed quickly.

There are however a combination of things you can do. Proper on page seo is essential to getting indexed. You want to make it easy for google to crawl your site.

Simply the steps I take to get my site indexed within anywhere between 24-48 hours:

    1. I like to create wordpress sites...google seems to like them.

    2. Activate all in one seo plugin.

    3. Activate Google sitemaps xml

    4. Title Tags should contain relevant keywords.

    5. Create Unique content for your website

    6. Make sure you use your keyword within the page, however do not over do it!

    7. LSI keywords are an excellent way to give you a higher SEO score - Use them!

    8. Place google analytics onto your site, google crawls your site to verify.

    9. Submit your website to google webmaster - This basically telling google now that you are serious about ranking.

    10. Lets just top it off by submitting to another google website- Feedburner- submit your feeds to feedburner. This is in the form of http://www.yoursite.com/feed

    11. Ping your site map and site at pingomatic.

    12. Ping your site at pingoat

    13. Very important step- Google likes to keep up to date with what is going on so this is why google wants to know whats popular and what should be ranking.

Social bookmarking. Submit your website to 20 Social bookmarking websites. I use social poster.

For a free service use social marker

These steps will guarantee you get indexed!

Remember you want to get your site into google what is a better way to do so other than playing off all google's cards, so to speak!

For extra leverage....Upload a video to Youtube with a link to your site....See what I am getting at?

This should guarantee indexing. Create lots of backlinks before your site is even indexed and google will slowly find them and this will give you a super push in the search engines.

Aim high with your keywords for long term goals, however rank for less competitive terms for the short term.

Also once you are indexed create more content and also more pages.

    Hope this helps!

Yes, it's true! With my site in my sig here, my new posts are indexed in seconds, and appearing in the SERP's. Literally, seconds.

Partially true I would say. May be true for blogs. But with regular websites or articles it doesnt work so fast. after reading this thread a week ago I tried it out. posted my goarticle in the signature and created a new thread.

The thread was indexed within the hour (you can check this by looking at brand new threads and googling some text string from that thread and see how long it takes to show up in the SERPs.

However my goarticle was not indexed right away, in fact it took a few days, then the goarticle fell off the index. Then I tried this with a press release. the thread again was indexed very quickly but the press release in the signature wasn't. and by the time the thread was indexed I had posted at least twice in the thread (two links to the press release), and still it didn't index the press release within 24 hours, so I took the signature off.

If you take a look at the top 20 content sharing websites they are all getting indexed multiple times per day. Posting a link back to your website on any one of them gives you a fantastic chance of being indexed within a couple of days.

    sorry I'm new....

when we're saying indexed are we saying indexed as in google just know it's there or ranked, somewhere near first page of google?

Just wondering what's the point of getting indexed, if I'm on page 100?

Or does fast indexing mean ranking is soon to follow?

The OP is referring to getting a lot of traffic though... so does that mean we're indeed talking about ranking high within a couple of days using the above methods?

    Clarification would be much appreciated.
