I have really learnt some amazing things from you guys in the past, and so I wanted to give back something really good especially to the SEO/PPC forum.

I have spent the last 2-3 months looking for places where I could leave high quality EDU backlinks with very long stick rates. The link below is straight to the pdf...no opt-in.

These will be spammed to death within minutes - The OBL on each backlink will be crazy sooner or later. Are they auto-approve by the way? Thanks for sharing this, although I probably won't use it.

All the links are for forums where you can leave links on a publically viewable profile.

The sites I have chosen for this free sample are large and will be able to handle lots of sign-ups.

Wonderufl ebook and even has a tutorial! Great for newbies like me. Only one question, I know this might sound dumb, but just filling out the profile on the forums by itself is enough to get a google link? Without posting on the forums?

Hi,

If you sign up to these forums, your links will be left on a publically viewable profile. You dont need to make a post unless instructed otherwise.

If you want to get the best out of the links, you should also index them. do you know how to do this?

No, I don't. :P I'll go make the profiles, though. As long as they wouldn't be labelled spam.

Edit: I made a profile on VA university forum. It's overrun with spam--mostly sexual in nature. i mean that's almost all there is on there.

I think that would depend on the individual forum's rules.

Looks like Virginia University's forum isn't the internet's best-kept secret anymore, though XD

They really need to clean that place up, it's shameful especially for a college site. I was shocked at the state of it. And I'd steer clear of posting on forums full of spam if your site is guest postable. It could bring the spam your way too. I've just heard that this can happen.

Hi Groovystar, Yes well occasionally one or two of the links will be more well known than others. I hope you appreciate because I gave this away for free, that I coudn't reveal all my gems. But there's loads of value in this packet Iv given away, and plus on my website, you can get 10 more EDU blogs no-one has ever been on.

But anyway so Indexing, a quick tutorial:

1. Go to icerocket.com and sign up
2. Click on Rss Builder
3. Click on Add Channel and give that channel a name related to your niche website you have been building links to.
4. Then click on add item. This will take you to a page, where you input the URL of a forum profile where you left your links.
5. Do this for 20 entries i.e 20 more Forum profiles.
6. Then click on Publish.
7. Then copy the URL in the first box. URL will start like this http://rss.icerocket.com/xmlfeed..........
8. Then take that URL and ping it at pingomatic.com and pingoat.net
9. Also bookmark that URL at Digg, Reddit, Propeller, MisterWong, and a couple RSS bookmarking places
10. Also URL to Google Blog Search Ping Service


And that is it.

Yeah I might get stuck on one or two of these steps, though I'll wait till I get a minute to start working on them before I see if I have any trouble.

And I don't mind at all that a couple of them were spam. You did this for free for us, I was just giving people a heads up that one of them has been hit hard by spammers. I'd never be ungrateful for anything someone just decided to do as a favour

For "channel link" do you put your website's URL or the backlink's URL?

For channel link, I normally go for something generic like yahoo.dir..
You need to put a link in for some reason for the system to build the rss channel.

That is a very very basic google string search you have mentioned.

You are welcome to use that technique your mentioning to find Edu links, but for every 20 EDU forums you find, maybe one will allow you to put links if your lucky.

If you have that type of time on your hands, go for it. I personally use very complex string searches to find only the best places to put your links. I cant give the best away here, I have saved that for my upcoming link packet. But these are still good links.

Yep, I also use more advanced strings, that was just for the newbies. I also don't want to give away my gold. Just pointing out the direction for others to follow.

Once you do a few dozen searches you start to refine inwards, getting better results as you go. It just takes practice.
