Now just because it is nofollow now, it doesn't mean that it won't help in indexing. Even though Google will see the link and may refuse to crawl it, several other search engines WILL crawl that link (because they don't care about dofollow/nofollow), and then Google will crawl the other search engines and find your page.

Thanks Scott, that's what I thought! Which, therefore, makes them probably one of the crappiest places to go in hopes of getting a site indexed fast.

You want a list of Statistics sites... I just checked a handful of them YESTERDAY! They are all alive and working when {website} is added and submitted...

The problem with the DMOZ is that they only want to take One site for One niche...

The DMOZ is just a glorified Link Directory. That is all. I actually prefer the the Yahoo! Directory to DMOZ...

Some nice suggestions but as other pointed out that will not help ranking a whole lot, just simply gets your site indexed by google.

Theres an another option, to submit your sit to Google. Its for sure that it will get it will get indexed but cant say when.

I like to build HTML/CSS stylized sites... I know the code much better than I know PHP. Don't get me wrong, I've got some wordpress blogs... I just install a plugin for those bad boys... They aren't really my focus anyways.

I can have a new site, any site, indexed by Google within 24hrs.

Build some backlinks and ping and meta index them.
Submit sitemap through Google Webmaster Tools
Add you URL to Google
Ping and Meta Index the main page of my new site.
Search for it "site:mysite.com"

Voila! That's the typical... If need be I'll bust out the big guns!!

The 77k list and rapid index! Lol! That pretty much CAN'T fail!

**Edit: This can be done by anyone. Typically, all of my sites I add them to Google Webmaster Tools (the <meta> header code) and setup the Google Analytics (add the header code).

Maybe this helps maybe it doesn't - If it does or does not help a new site to get indexed... That doesn't really matter b/c I'm going to be using these tools anyways.

Do you use some program to submit them? I have TrafficMystic's SEO Link Dominator Fast Indexer tool that he gives away in the War Room, and his comes with a list of 30k+. But wowsers, 77,777, nice! Thanks!

I do use that tool too... Although I don't know how much I trust it is actually doing its job. I have that you can't type in individual URLs - I've edited the 3- meta.txt's files that it comes with as well as the pinglist.txt. Most of the sites in those text files are dead...

I'm actually having a pinging/indexing tool made right now. I want it

No follow has NOTHING to do with indexing.
BUT identi.ca will give you a tiny-url if you abuse. Blog n ping works, adding your url to a solid twitter account etc also works. Any site that gets crawled often will work IMO. If you create a sitemap (xml) and ping it, that often is good enough for G..

Make a post on this forum with your link in your sig, this forum gets crawled every few hours so it won't be long before you're indexed, remember there is a difference between getting your links crawled and google actually indexing them, sometimes it takes a few attempts before they'll include you in their index.

Nice tip, the social bookmarking sites and social networking sites like identi.ca are frequently indexed and the more your site is on them the greater chance your site will equally be included in the index
