Default Top 5 Tips for BookMarking Demon

Hi Warriors,

For the Warriors out there who are advanced with Bookmarking Demon (BMD) I was wondering if you could provide your top 5 tips, and/or things every BMD user should know.

Thanks

Thank you for your response, I have a couple of questions:

So far I only used one proxy, do you find that the rate of success is better with more than one "less banning of accounts."

Where do you get your proxies from?

Where you do you get your list of Bookmarking sites that you import?

Post Re: Top 5 Tips for BookMarking Demon

Tips for Bookmarking Demon:

1) Add as many keywords as you can to your url submission. Each keyword you include becomes a new page and backlink to your site.

2) Remember to check the email you used to create your accounts and activate the accounts. This is kind of obvious, but I’ve already forgotten a couple of times after creating new accounts.

3) When using the regular bookmarking sites (not the scuttle ones), make sure and mask your links. When submitting your own sites, make sure and mix in other urls from other sites as well.

4) Scuttle away. While you need to be careful using regular bookmarking sites, go wild and submit your URLs to the scuttle sites. I didn’t know what these were previously, but scuttle sites are basically unknown, low traffic social bookmarking sites created by a scuttle script.

I don't like these automated submission softwares because all of them have bugs and limitations. I only use manual submission. and the only important parameter for submitting pages to social bookmarking sites is using attractive and different title and descriptions for submitting them.

InitialEffort pretty much gave you the nuts and bolts of BMD, if you follow that road map, you'll get to your destiny for sure.

Multiple proxies is a must! Using "1" single proxy or none is a recipe for danger.

I use all three services because I use a number of tools, namely: BMD, SB and a few others.

Mostly from ScrapeBox. Here's a tip; use .edu and .gov sites and other sites that clearly have NO Commercial Intent. Meaning, they do not render ANY ads, just information. That way, "IF" moderators look at your profiles, they will simply click OK and move along.

That's funny, NONE of the automated tools I use pose any issues, maybe, just maybe your disdain of them has to do with user issues emanating from not reading the user manuals. I'm just saying...

And then, [and most importantly] why post your disdain/displeasure on a thread where a person is clearly seeking help for a tool they paid for?

I don't get these types of "I hate such and such" posts????

To me it's like a person buying a Corvette and someone comes along and tries to convince them that 2-seaters suck because you can only have one other passenger.

RESPONSE
: I bought the car cause that's all I wanted riding with me sir!

People choose IMATs Internet Marketing Automated Tools because they want to reduce the amount of time it takes to complete certain tasks. Everything you described that you can do manually; we can do X 1000. That's the power of automation!

The best tip is to create 10 bookmarking accounts for all main accounts (main is under the group tab), this would allow you to bookmark all your web pages, instead of having one bookmarking account and having to bookmark your 10 web pages to your website (as this will certainly get your account banned) bookmarking website hate self promoters. Also make sure to use the scheduler to make your submission look organic (you don't want to post all pages at one time).

What footprint do you use to find social bookmarking sites via scrapebox?

Social bookmarking sites don't have identifiable URLs like forums

There are enough sites in BMD that you never have to use SB to find any.

Im so on the fence on this piece of software. Right now I do the "major places" with onlywire and I like that. I want to use BMD but while using SB and other tools hell there is not enough time in the day to do it LOL (work 10 + hours at a regular job). Can anyone here advise that using BMD alone has helped in someway?

You Guys are really missing the point, bookmarking demon is the best by far, not only can you set up a schedule to make it appear natural. But you can calculate how many bookmarks per day, per minutes to simulate this (example" let just say you want 20 bookmarks per day, but not at the same time. you could schedule bookmarking demon to post 24hrs*60mins = 1440/20 bookmarks=1 bookmark every 72 hours or 5 bookmarks every 288 minutes. Now that is natural looking bookmarking. You can add pligg, scuttle plus, etc. I scraped up about 1500 book of pligg, scuttle plus, etc. Bookmarking demon does have a problem activating some of those. But overall it is the best is you use a top strategy.

Here's the first thing you need to know about BMD; IT WORKS... as advertised. Forget about those who speak negatively of BMD; it works!

You can rapidly build BLs if you follow the instructions and get your settings right. More on the settings in a moment.

Just so you know, BMD is for IMers who have a bevy of websites. In other words, a person who only has a few sites in non competitive niches may not appreciate its power. And, it is for Advanced Users. Meaning people who are IM to W-I-N and they understand that to compete with the Big Dawgs, they have to deploy IMATs just like the IM Big Dawgs.

Again, if you are only targeting Keyword Phrases classified as low fruit hanging on the tree, BMD is probably not going to be for you.

Having said all of that, you do need to know that the accompanying BMD videos and .pdf tutorials are good but they leave a lot to be desired. And what happens is, many people go over them and still don't know what their settings should be and then there is the proxy issue; that leaves them scratching their heads.

Edwin probably assumed that only power users would grab BMD and wrote the manual and made the videos based on that assumption. Of course that is my opinion, I don't know for sure. What I do know is, many people read the manuals and watch the videos, look at their computer monitors and go, "What's next Edwin???"

Here is my suggestion to eliminate that brain fart, go here: Bookmarking Demon SEO Guide : Bookmarking Lists : Bookmarking SEO

Get that BMD training manual! Don't waste your time surfing forums, Youtube, etc., looking for info on BMD in bits and pieces. Get that BMD training manual and combine that with the OEM BMD training and you will be mastering BMD in no time!

Rysk, here are the footprints you need to find social bookmarking sites:

"Pligg is an open source content management system that lets you easily create your own social network"

powered by phpdug 2.0.0

"Bookmarking the web 2.0"

"Store, share and tag your favourite links"

I find new sites quarterly.

1. At least 5 accounts should be created at the social bookmarking sites.
2. Always use RSS feeds when submitting to the Group of sites labelled as MAIN inside BMD.
3. Do not bookmark deep pages from the same site on the same day. Mix it up.
4. Use no more than 5 tags. Each tag creates a page at the bookmarking site. More than 5 will raise eyebrows at sites monitored by humans, such as the Main bookmarking group sites (currently 25)
5. Free public proxies are better than paid proxies in most cases, because the IP variety is greater and BMD runs faster. I keep 50 minimum free public proxies inside my BMD and refresh weekly.

BMD is definitely worth the money.

How do you find this list of free proxies? Not for free I'm assuming? Looking forward to you guide for BMD.

I'm a little upset, I'm not sure I found you site before or after I purchased BMD to take advantage of some of the stuff you were offering if I signed up through you link. Perhaps you still got credit without my knowledge (old cookie).

Only problem with free proxies is they get spammed quickly so you have to update your list pretty much every week.

It's up to you if you want to take that chance.

I was informed that the scuttle script was created for use by universities - it was originally used to post class schedules and things like that.

Why drive a car, can't we just all manually walk to where we have to go?

Oh yeah, cause a car is faster So is BMD. While you do it manually, I start BMD and minimize, and spend my time doing something more valuable that can't be automated.

If you can afford it, do yourself a favor and stop doing it manually, and spend you time on other more important things. Just my 2c.

Would this be good for getting Web 2.0 properties and forum profiles indexed? I'm assuming it would but does anyone here use it for that purpose?

Inside Bookmarking Demon there is the ability to bookmark RSS feeds of news sites along with your own sites and web 2.0 properties linking to your sites, so you add more value to the main bookmarking sites and keep your accounts intact. It is just another way to say you are submitting more than your own sites and links, you are not being labelled as a self-promoter - you are 'hiding' your links among others. Using RSS feeds is just one way to do that, and the process is automated inside Bookmarking Demon.

Absolutely! I do that all the time. Every time an article I have submitted using Article Demon goes live (gotta love the link checker built inside it), I grab the URL and import it into Bookmarking Demon and bookmark it.

Thanks Diane. So would work for about 1000 links per day? I'm assuming if I created enough accounts it would be OK?

Also is the account creation automatic or semi-automatic? I'm use to tools like SEnuke that create the accounts and click the verification email. I'm hoping that BD can do this as well.

I recommend to all my customers that at least 5 accounts are created before any bookmarking is begun. And yes, Bookmarking Demon won't disappoint, it does automatic account creation and validation. The current version is 5 and the updates are frequent. With a recent update even more types of email providers can be utilized by BMD. You can get more than a thousand links per day. It depends on how many bookmarking sites you have installed. You can add as many as you can find or build.

I should have been more specific. How many accounts would I need to bookmark around 1000 pages per day?

Since success depends partly on the keywords you are using, it is hard to give an answer that will be able to be tested successfully. I don't bookmark that many pages in a day, I use the drip scheduler to spread out the submissions.

Anyway, don't want to hijack the thread. Hope OP is satisfied the main question was answered.

I'll start with a tip.

Have only one email account set up in BMD5. Then register accounts for other emails and have them forwarded to the BMD5 account. Then you only have one account to manage in DMD. Otherwise you will have to set up each email address in BMD5. Saves a lot of time.

Someone above mentioned checking your Bookmark sites occasionally. It's easier just to choose the option to have them automatically removed in the "Preferences" set up if there is a problem.

1000 links a day would be no problem.
10 accounts x 100 bookmarking sites = 1000 accounts
add 2000 bookmarks for camoflouge and that's 3000 bookmarks
Comes out to only 3 per day per account. No problem there.

SEnuke creates the email accounts for you and sets them up in SEnuke.
You have to creae your own email account with BMD5 and set it up in BMD5.

Both then create accounts using captcha solving and verify the emails.

I really wanted the scheduling feature in SEnuke but got tired of waiting for SEnukeX. So I bought BMD and Aricle Demon. I did this believing that I would not use them after X comes out in mid Feb or Mar.

That's because in X I will be able to link tasks. I will be able to set it up to bookmark the pages I make. After set it up X will automatically ping, bookmark and rss feed the pages the way I want it to. That way is randomly and over time.

BMD is a great tool with a much smaller learning curve than SEnuke. But it can't beat having it all done in the background automatically by X.

But if you are going to keep SEnuke, waiting for X might be worth considering. It already does a decent job of bookmarking, it just doesn't schedule yet. If you aren't keeping SEnuke the one time purchase of BMD at $149 is bargain.

The camouflage technique of BMD5 is worth copying when using any bookmarking software.

BTW, last weekend I checked the links built by SEnuke from 6-12 months ago (bookmark, rss, web2.0, article, profile but no video) and over 50% were still there. The software I used would only backlink to the pages if my original link was still there. I built them consertively and guess I will have the same stick rate with BMD5.

When you say "it works," can you be more specific? It works could mean it successfully gets you a bunch of bookmarks, which is fine, but are bookmarks working like they used to? Are you currently getting rankings boosts through it?

Any details would be appreciated.

Does anyone know how to enable the software to go into ping mode after the bookmarking is complete? I can't find an option to do this so I don't even know if it's possible but it would be nice.

Thanks

There is no option for that to happen automatically, as far as I know. When the bookmarking is complete, you will see the ping queue is preloaded for you. I assume you already have your ping servers loaded in and your optimal interval chosen in preferences. If so, then just go to the ping tab when the bookmarking is done and hit the start button.

If somebody knows otherwise, please let us know.

Thanks Diane I think I will suggest that function to be included. I actually decided to use scrapebox to ping anyway because it's faster.

Yes, pinging could be faster than pinging inside of Bookmarking Demon. I find it so convenient to have the ping queue pre-populated, however, that I don't mind the slower rate. It serves its purpose well.
