Hello,

I was wondering if you guys recommend an article submission software. Submitting automatically, does it hurt your website ranking? Which sofware product would you recommend?

Thanks,

Hector

Article post robot or Article Announcer. Or both if you can afford it : )

As far as hurting your rankings - well, if you spam the heck out of the article directories - then yes. Imagine having 1000 articles each saying the same thing, with the same link anchor text, pointing to your site. It just might look like article spam.

Also, rumor has it G doesn't place much weight anymore on the article directories.

My advice to you is to write good articles and submit a handful to the directories. Then rewrite those article and submit them to another handful.

Rinse. Wash. Repeat. Or... is it Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

Tedious? yes. But, you'll get more mileage out of your submissions.

    Best,

    -Jay

I personally like Submit Your Article. It has a feature that allows you to make some very easy changes to your article and then creates several variations of that article. You can also schedule the submission or "drip" it over several weeks.

It is still a valuable link building tool, maybe not as strong as it used to be but worth doing. As i recall article post robot allows you to use variations on your author bio which is a very good option, allowing you to vary anchor text.

you don't need software, I personally don't use software to submit articles. what those software is just replace your browsers with their "browsers" and I don't see any benefits of using it.... instead I will recommend an article distribution service like submityourarticles which indeed save lots of time!

Isn't Submit your Articles also a software program? Perhaps I'm mixing this up with another service?

Manual submission is good, instead of submitting to to hundreds, I post to nearly 25 in specific category.

I also agree that Article Marketer is more cost effective and allows more submissions. A subscription allows for unlimted article submissions to well over 1000 sites (the sales page show over 3700 sites) but I usually get about 1000 site submissions for each article. They also show you the sites that were submitted to and allow you to use multiple signatures for directories that allow links in the sig.

In my experience, mass submission combined with slow submission tools at a rate of 2 articles per week per site gets me top 10 rankings almost all the time.

It then depends on the competition how long it takes.

Are you talking about submitting the same article 2 times a week to a new directory each time?

Kurt, to be honest, although I have Article Post Robot, I do not use it anymore. I simply use my tool to quickly create a couple of unique articles, and then submit them manually.

I tend to stick within 20 - 30 decent article directories, ie - dofollow and decent approval times. The majority of the directories I have come across on mass submission tools, such as APR don't even review them. Their owners simply give up with the site and abandon it. Others can take up to 6 - 12 months to approve. NO good!

I like to get them submitted, approved and then indexed in Google straight away.
