hi WF, leg again so i went out and bought a domain and hosting because everyone says the best way to learn is to get stuck in right , so anyways i submitted it to Google buy am adding new content every day and was wondering if there's a way to force Google to re crawl your site and re-rank it without having to wait for it to happen automatically? second i was wondering if anyone knows a good plugin for WP to monitor your sites Google rank? thanks leg |

Hi leg, An excellentg way to get search engine crawlers to spider your new content is by doing an XML-RPC ping. That usually prompts the bots to come a crawling. If you are using a blogging CMS platform like Wordpress, it has XML-RPC ping services built-in by default. Otherwise you just submit your new URLs to any of the pinging services out there to notify their servers of your updated content. Micro blogging is also very effective when done properly, I recommend Twitter for quick bot response. And then there is social bookmarking which works well if you participate within the community where you are bookmarking. |

Wordpress already runs pingomatic by default when you first setup WP.
