Default Scrapebox question about free/paid proxies

Hey all,
I have about 5-6 sites that I am currently running. I've recently purchased Scrapebox and I have been watching the video tutorials. The aspect of proxies is confusing me though.

As I understand it, you are able to scrape for free proxies using Scrapebox and you can accumulate hundreds of free proxies. However, I keep hearing people saying that you should get about 10 paid proxies. Which leads to my questions:

1. What is the difference between free and paid proxies? If I scrape for more free proxies, would I still need to buy proxies?

2. Whats the difference between hundreds of free proxies over 10-20 paid proxies?

Thank you!

You should use public proxies for harvesting urls, private proxies to post.
The difference is in the connection speed to the proxies, which will make your success rate while posting alot smaller than if you'd use private ones.

1. You share the free ones with a billion other people in the world plus it takes a ****load of time to finish checking good ones.

2. Like BrainyX said, its the speed because only you can use it.

If you plan to scrape a lot, then youll need some good private ones.

I dont particularly care about posting with scrapebox, so if you plan to blast comments with it and stay under the radar, youll definitely need more than 10 unless all are auto approved blogs.

the difference when you post with or without proxies is, that your own IP is visible. If you use private or paid proxies doesnot make a difference except for the speed and that the proxy ip maybe also abused by other spammers.

Need more Backlinks for free? Need to scrape Google, Bing, Yahoo, Exalead, Blekko and Ask? Or need to scrape discussion, blog or video results only?

For harvesting you should use publice google passed proxies. For posting you should use private proxies.

I have recently started posting a daily list of public google passed proxies here: Scrapebox Proxies | SceneMarket - Buy Sell Trade

there is much difference between public and private proxies.
let me tell you the difference.
For harvesting public proxies will work but not good.
For posting you should use private proxies because you links will be placed with different ip's that will be great for you . So, i personally suggest you to purchase atleast 5 private proxies for this Amazing Software :P

When I first bought Scrapebox I used the built in proxy harvester. It was OK at best. Now? It's absolutely awful.

You need to look for a public proxy source that is NOT compatible with proxy harvesters. These usually last much longer since they're not able to be picked up by automated tools. You'll just have to manually plug them into the Scrapebox proxy checker.

These are, for the most part, the proxies I use for harvesting search results, running PR checks, checking backlinks, etc. I use 5-10 semi-dedicated proxies for posting. (Shared or private proxies.)
