This is true, higher quality backlinks are given more authority than lower quality links. Now when I talk about high quality I am referring to relevant contextual links that use your keyword as a anchor text, this is the best quality link that you can get. And it seems that article networks (services) like build my rank is currently very hot, and for good reason, it gives you contextual relevant links. You must not discard lower quality links like forum profiles and blog comments, you can still get good value from them if you distribute or filter the link juice via buffer web 2.0 sites like squidoo and blogger. I would not suggest that you link directly to lower quality links especially in high quantities, rather filter the link juice first.

From before time it is necessary to get high quality backlinks to get more results for the site but now it has be more crucial after the panda update. And one need to post on high quality and authorised sites with providing unique and useful content in submission and then only one can get more quality backlinks to the site and can get more results.

That is bad thinking, yes links are links but not all of them has great quality and a lot of them won't help your website to rank. Focus on high PR pages to put your links, this will get you a lot of juice.

Creating poor quality links for your website is complete waste of time. if you want to secure top position on search engine then you need to create some quality backlinks. After Google freshness update its better if you can update your website with fresh and unique content on regular basis.

The quality of the link have always been important to me. 2 years ago, I knew nothing about SEO and everytime I saw a poor quality website that offers "to submit your link into it" - I definitely didn't want to do that, because I thought its gonna hurt my authority. Is it like I saw the future? No... It was pretty obvious that Google will make these changes soon or later.

So... Now when we talk about link building and Panda I would like to give you some simple rules.

• Getting your links manually from authority websites is the best way of link building. Quality > Quantity.
• If you are about to outsource a linkbuilding service, never go with more than 30 links a day. I am sure that there is NO person in Fiverr or any other freelance network, that will offer you more than 30 QUALITY contextual backlinks for such a low price. Don't be stupid.
• Socialize. Google started to pay attention on the social medias and sharing. Use social bookmarks.
• Linkbuilding is not everything - pay attention to the other factors. The search engines are more clever than ever before. They are not only crawling around looking for backlinks to rank your website. Start by testing your website speed. Pay attention to the user experience on your website. And if you really want to be perfect - learn about schema.org.

Even before Panda, Google used to ignore poor quality links... And, as per my knowledge, Panda is primarily concerned with the quality of content on the page.

And, for 2012, I speculate that backlinks from social media channels would carry good weightage.

My 2012 strategy is targeting high PR sites, avoiding spam backlinks e.g. profile links, scrapebox mass blog commenting.

Instead of article writing, I go for guest blogging and buying high PR homepage links.

But you don't need to avoid Scrapebox blast and profile backlinks to Web 2.0 properties. Use those spammy links to web 2.0 properties.

No doubt about it. The chance of getting a webmaster of a 'high-PR website' to link naturally without a payment is very low.

There are no natural links anymore. None.

Besides, links are links, as I said before. If you don't believe me, try for yourself. Google will discount some 'bad links' but generally they still count for something. If they didn't, backlinks from low-quality websites could never help sites rank. Yet they do.

Most times I've heard that it was to say that you should not disregard a nofollow link.
However, if you're linking by spamming using automated tools and those links are placed in auto-approve comments where the post has been spammed all the way to the moon and back....those links are worthless and might end up harming you.

My advice is to pay most attention to your websites quality and user experience. I think too much time and energy is wasted on links and most people only have moderate success. Panda was mostly about cleaning up the SERPS. My experience has been when a quality site is made by me and my team, we only need a few links a day to get great results.

Yes, quality links are important.

I have bought ScapeBox, i think it is great tool, it help me alot find many good blogs with relevant contents to build links on. Just depend on how we use it ,you can save your time.

Google has been "ignoring" poor quality links for a while... so Panda didn't really make any changes in the way the look at backlinks. Panda is all about the quality of your content.

So with that said... keep building links the way you have been if that had been working for you in the past, and keep your content tight with high quality and relevancy to your keyword.

Also be sure you don't hammer your money page with the same keyword as your anchor. Use Google's "Related searches" to know what other keywords you should use as anchors to link to your targeted page.

Don't be afraid of Panda... I haven't changed anything that I've been doing and Panda hasn't affected any of my sites.

I'm generally not against low quality links if it helps your site to rank and get seen by users.

However, if the content that gets ranked is not link worthy, you will suffer in the long time.

What you should do is manually link to your money pages with semi-quality stuff like BMR posts and manual commenting.

After you get the desired ranks, your pages are better to be link worthy, otherwise you will have to continue building links manually and in a few years, Google will pretty much devalue most of them.
