Default IP hiding software

Anyone use any IP hiding software if so how does it work? I was thinking about using www.hide-my-ip.com but wanted to know if there are any better ones.

I need it for craigslist, i found a product that coverts like crazy over there!

I use Private Proxy. It allows me to pick a geographic area for my IP and it changes my IP at regular intervals.
PM me if you're willing to talk about your Craigslist product.

I gotta keep my craigslist product tight lipped, it is converting a 2% with only 3 ads a day!!!

I did notice that the other problem is setting up accounts, they seem to clip you after 10-20 ads under the same account.

I even tried changing them up and using 6 different URLS, Its working but its a constant battle. But its takes about an hour a day and nets me usually $20-60 per day so its worth it.

I have roadrunner cable and y IP stays the same even if i turn of my modem and PC and turn them back on.

I'd go with HidemyIP, the proxies can be difficult and take time to set up, and you could very easily be identified as spammer if you use proxies on certain site, not sure if on cragislist

You can try Anonymous Forum Buddy (Privacy-Pro company). I don't know if it works for you, but i use it and i like it. Has 3 days trial but what is cool is that has subscription packages so you can buy it only for one month. Not necessary or a year or for life.
Good luck.

having dynamic ip is better if craiglist doen's block your country, if so the use "Hide The Ip" $30/year or use webproxy with SSL or VPN/SSH

Anyone considering using Tor should first be aware of all its weaknesses ...

I am still surprised at how many people want to use the so called "free" proxy servers. I have a blog entry about it at Internet Privacy and Identity Protection by IdentityCloaker.com! . Yes, I know, a bit self-promotion but still I think people should read that...

This needs some clarification. They do not and cannot (legally) store the transferred data packets - i.e. they do not store the contents of the data transfer or the destination URLs etc.

They are only required to store the data ABOUT the data transfer and that's a huge difference - so while they know you connected and transferred some data, they are not allowed to know its contents. In other words, they are not allowed to eavesdrop, that would be stricly against any EU privacy laws. TOR has its weaknesses but this is not one of them.

Quote:
People are saying it's the new antiprivacy proxy.
Personally, I always try to avoid phrases like that. Technically, TOR is not a proxy anyway, and most of the people who say something like "TOR is an antiprivacy proxy" simply do not know enough.

I am not really trying to say TOR is the best solution in every situation, but some of those people who consider TOR unsafe and do not use it for that very reason then happily use some hacker owned "free" proxy and think how great that is...

We have it built into our Hot Keyword Spy software, I also have a standalone tool that does the self same job (for when you don't want to use the HKS) ...

It finds working proxies, checks them for response time, and lets you set how often to rotate them.

I didnt make a commercial copy yet, but will do shortly.

If you have to hide your IP from Craigs you are spamming. That's really all there is to it. But it's okay as long as you make a profit right? And of course as long as no one wastes your time spamming your own sites.

Egocentric logic. Do unto others before they do unto you. And Do as I say not as I do. Ethics be damned.
