Hi fellow Warriors,

SEO Traffic can be something that's hard to scale. I'm sure that there are a lot of people on the Warriorforum who are getting some decent traffic when it comes to SEO, but they could use a lot more traffic to their site.

For some people, they reach a certain number of visitors a day, and it seems really hard to scale up that number from there...

Today I just wanted to share with you a simple concept that I've been using to automatically multiply the traffic I've been getting with SEO. It is a concept that you can put your own twist on and greatly benefit from the results.

The methods for putting the concept into action are great and you will see amazing results from them. But they are not as important as the concept itself. The most important thing I feel is to understand the concept and it will open your mind up to infinite possibilities.

Introduction

SEO Traffic is great. It's free, but there's one main problem.

The name, SEO, is not very elegant, and it looks bad to the eye.

Just kidding.

The problem is that it's not auto-scalable. The traffic you get from SEO does not normally rise on its own without any prior intervention. Meaning that, unless you create more posts, or do more backlinking, or improve your on-page optimization, your traffic is unlikely to suddenly increase all on its own.

There are exceptions of course. Like...
  • When a keyword you're ranking for suddenly goes trending
  • When there's an algorithm change and all your competitors get slapped, raising your rankings.
  • When you happen to accidentally save Matt Cutts' life and he grants you #1 rankings for all your keywords in return.

But other than that, what you get tends to be what you get. And if you want to get more traffic, you'll have to put in an amount of SEO or backlinking work proportional to the amount of traffic increase you desire.

The 3 Stages of Traffic

When you observe traffic trends, you will notice that all traffic generally falls into 3 stages. These are...
  • Falling Traffic
  • Consistent Traffic
  • Rising Traffic

Depending on what you're doing with your website, you will go through these various stages from time to time.

Falling Traffic is a stage where your traffic levels are dropping. This may be a sharp drop, or it may be dropping over time. This may be because you got slapped by Google, or you got overtaken by your competitors, or your rankings are naturally dropping over time because you haven't touched your website in over 1000 years. This is not where you want to be.

Consistent Traffic means that your traffic is hanging more or less around a consistent level. There are small rises or drops, but no big changes over time. This can be a blessing or a curse. A blessing if you don't want your traffic to fall, and it's doing well hanging on consistently. A curse if you want your traffic to rise, but no matter what you do it seems to maintain its consistency.

Rising Traffic means that your traffic is going up. Good job! You're having a great time! Your traffic may be rising because you've been creating more posts on your site, or you're doing more backlinking to rank higher for keywords, or your adding more keywords to your content to rank for more long-tails, or any number of reasons. This is where you want to be, but...

The Dilemma of Rising Traffic

The stage of rising traffic is something that can be somewhat difficult to achieve consistently when it comes to SEO.

On one hand, this is where you want to be, because if your there is no growth is your traffic, there is often not much growth in your business. And when it comes to online business, you definitely want to grow when it comes to traffic.

Raising your traffic levels can be somewhat of an uphill battle. You'll need to put out more content. And with more content comes more backlinking. And more backlinking requires more time, effort or money.

And sometimes, after reaching a certain point, even if you do these things it seems as if your traffic isn't really going up. You tend to reach somewhat of a saturation point.

But as long as you understand that there's a problem, the solution is always within grasp. These 37 ways for multiplying your SEO traffic are based on identifying ways that you can take consistent SEO traffic and change it into rising traffic on autopilot.

37 Ways to Multiply Your SEO Traffic

To take your consistent SEO traffic and multiply it so that it becomes a flow of consistently rising traffic isn't all that difficult. There are various methods that you can use to reach that goal, but today I'd like to talk about the two easiest and most common...
  • Traffic Accumulation
  • Traffic Viralization

Both of these work very well, and very easily but in order for you to get results, you need to start with at least a small consistent flow of traffic to your site. If you don't have any traffic coming into your site, there's nothing you can multiply by. And we all know that 0 x Infinity = 0, no matter how hard you try. And Infinity / 0 is indivisible, unless you're Chuck Norris.

-> Let's Start with Traffic Accumulation

Traffic accumulation works by taking consistent SEO traffic and turning it into a snowball. A gigantic rolling snowball of awesomeness that rolls down Mount Everest, becoming ever larger as it continues rolling and it will one day squish the world. That type of snowball. That's what we want.

The way this works is that when visitors come to visit us through the search engines, we get them to keep coming back again and again so that their numbers accumulate and grow ever larger over time. Add this to the number of new visitors coming by daily, and your traffic will keep growing infinitely.

Here's how you can accumulate your visitors so that the amount of traffic you get to your pages keeps on growing...

Get Them to Subscribe

When visitors subscribe to you, ideally they will be informed whenever you release important new content and be directed to visit that content if it interests them. The number of subscribers that you have should keep on accumulating and add to the additional consistent traffic flow of new visitors that keeps coming in. That's how you snowball it.

01. Get them to subscribe to your email list (Important).

02. Get them to subscribe to your RSS feed.

03. Get them to subscribe as your Twitter follower.

04. Get them to subscribe as your Facebook fan.

05. Get them to subscribe to you on Pinterest

06. Get them to follow you on any number of social networking sites.

07. Get them to subscribe to your comments.

08. Get them to subscribe to your forum posts. Or your forum's posts if you own a forum.

09. Get them to subscribe in their minds. So that they remember your brand and keep coming back for more (Important).

10. Get them to subscribe your site as their browsers' homepage. Works well in a variety of niches.

11. Get them to subscribe by downloading your iPhone app.

12. Get them to subscribe by downloading your Android app.

13. Get them to subscribe period.

Create Finger Lickin' Good Content

Even if your visitors don't subscribe to you, that doesn't mean that you can't keep them coming back for more. A lot of visitors don't use fancy subscription stuff. But by putting out great content, you can get them coming back again and again and again once they have subscribed to your brand in their minds.

One of the sites that I'm subscribed to in my mind is Lifehacker. Even though I'm not subscribed to them in any way, but I remember their brand. And when I have free time, I type in their address into the address bar and have a look at the latest tips they have to offer.

I just don't use subscription stuff because it's not my style. But that doesn't keep me from coming back for more. This is probably the easiest and best way to get subscriptions from the list above. Make sure your visitors are subscribed to your brand in their minds. Here are a few ways you can get visitors to subscribe to you in their minds...

14. Create amazingly great content on a regular basis. Like this one.

15. Create amazingly terrible content. The key here is the word "amazingly".

16. Create interesting, unfinished series so that they can't help but look forward to the next item in the series. Keep a gap in their mind that needs to be filled.

17. Give away awesome free stuff from time to time.

18. Create contests and giveaways that require active participation with great prizes.

19. Create on-going case studies.

20. Create sticky link bait.

21. Create infographics and instructographics

22. Link your brand to various other famous brands. Look how Google does it.

23. Do something shocking. Or just surprising.

24. Advertise your brand in various ways. Like Coca-Cola.

25. Be everywhere, all the time. Participate in communities. Participate in activities. Participate in challenges. So that people keep on seeing you and your brand everywhere, again and again and again.

And again and again and again and again...

And again and again...

And...

26. Create a points or rewards program.

27. Think gamification. Turn your business into a game that your visitors can play.

Did you know that Colonel Sanders of KFC never went anywhere without wearing his signature white suit? This was to maintain the image of the KFC brand in the minds of people who were watching him.
28. Just stand out from the crowd.

Let's Go Onto Traffic Viralization

Take your existing, consistent flow of SEO traffic and let it spread by itself. Like a virus. Like viral marketing. Actually, it is viral marketing.

Previously, we talked about taking your visitors and accumulating them. Now, we're talking about taking your visitors, and giving them a net and asking them to net in more visitors for you. Well, you don't have to ask them, they'll do it for you on autopilot provided you have great stuff to offer. But you can make the process easier for them...

29. Provide convenient social sharing buttons on your site. Buttons at the top, buttons at the bottom, buttons floating on the sides.

30. Provide a reward for your visitors if they tweet about your site.

31. Provide a reward for your visitors if they help you to accumulate subscribers.

32. Provide a reward for your visitors if they bring more visitors to your site. Or share your site with their friends.

33. Provide a reward for your visitors if they help you build backlinks to your site.

34. Turn your visitors into affiliates and reward them for promoting your product.

35. Provide your visitors with rebrandable items that they can distribute in return for some profit when people purchase your product.

36. Provide awesome free stuff with your branding and website URL on it that visitors can give away and share with their friends.

37. Encourage people to forward your email newsletters to their family and friends.

38. And more...

Conclusion

Once you have had a full grasp of the concept, the possibilities for multiplying your SEO traffic are only limited by your own imagination. I have talked about two of the more common methods.

Other methods include taking your consistent SEO traffic, and letting your visitors generate the content for you. And turning this into a community that grows steadily so that traffic goes up by itself.

And there are more ways that the time would be too limited to speak of...

For now, I hope you enjoyed this brief share on 37 ways to multiply your SEO traffic and that it benefits you in your business and SEO endeavors.
