The Music You May Not Know About

Those of you expecting a marketing entry as my first one will be disappointed. While I like Internet Marketing and I like to market, it's just a necessary evil of getting the word out in other ways to artists I really appreciate and things I really love. My goal is to be able to be making a nice chunk a month so I CAN use my newly found SEO powers and marketing prowess to push things and people I really love. Which brings me to this artist.
Alexz Johnson
Alexz Johnson is a Canadian singer/songwriter who got into acting so she could freely pursue music. You may have seen her, even if you don't remember it being her, in Final Destination 3.
She was the star of a little TV show called Instant Star for 4 seasons. With the exception of 2 covers songs("Stupid Girl" from Grabage and "Temporary Insanity" by The Weekend) every song she wrote for the show was original material. The show has put out 3 albums.
Now I can run on about her songwriting and accolades until I'm blue in the face, but as a fan that's part of my job. I know full well you're not really a fan until you take some steps and explore this new artist yourself. I'm here to push you through the door, get you to it, or whatever. She is now signed with Epic Records and will be releasing an album of material of her own soon. Ironically, all the stuff she did on Instant Star was original work too, this time she just doesn't have "Instant Star" attached to it. It will be self titled.
I'm just doing my part as a fan and appreciater of her and her music. I wish more people knew about her. She's pretty unknown outside of Canada. Leave me some comments if you want me to keep doing non-marketing posts like this too
