In this lesson we are going to be customizing Your YouTube Channel. Now I am debating as I write this lesson, if I will do a video with it or just use screenshots. Well stick around and see what I come up with.


Well there are several reasons why. One reason is that when visitors arrive to your page you want them to experience have set in place for them.

Let me explain!

Let's say that you have a car racing shop. When visitors are on your channel, then you want to present an atmosphere as if they were at your shop. So you would probably have a white and black checkered flag, on top of a red and black background.

You may even want to customize it to where when someone comes to your channel, you display the video that you want to start when they arrive.

Whatever it is, it should SHOUT what you do.

Now with the business.

Obviously, you need to be logged in to your YouTube account. If not you need to log in.

Once logged in. You need to navigate to the upper right hand corner of the page. Once there you will see a gravatar with your profile picture or a default one.


From here you will click the dropdown that is there and it reveal these choices:

• My Channel
• Video Manager
• Subscriptions
• Inbox
• Settings
• Sign out

"My Channel" is what you want to click.

After you have clicked onto the 'My Channel' link, it will take you to your youtube channel.
