I'm currently working on an internet marketing wiki which as far as I can see is one the first of it's kind to be fully developed. I'm really surpised noone has put one up before now for us internet marketers as I think it will be a really valuable resource.

It will almost definitely be behind a small paywall to avoid 99% of spam. I simply don't have the time, money or moderators to fire-fight what would be a flood of, shall we say, "unwelcome visitors" and edits. There will be plenty of other premium content though to make joining a no-brainer. At least that's the plan.

Wikipedia is no doubt a great resource for fact-checking but I find it quite dry and restricted on the topics us marketers know and love. My "vision" is for an internet marketing wiki that is more upbeat, while still being balanced; more fun and informative, without any fluff, and more detailed and actionable, instead of just stating facts without offering advice.

Everything will be edited mercilessly of course, as a good wiki must be, but members won't be under the constant scrutiny of moderators with a low opinion of us marketers and our interests. Rather, I hope to create a friendly community, just like WF, with a benevolent "captain".

It seems the best way to accomplish this is by harnessing the combined knowledge of all of us, Warriors and more, to cast an investigative eye over the available information, temper it with edits and constant updates within the wiki, so we have something really fantastic that serves as a reference for all of us.

There is so much information scattered around the web and buried in blog posts and in forum threads that it can be quite difficult sometimes to get a full picture on any one topic. Most sites you go on give you only part of the picture and you leave with more questions than were answered. Also, it can be a bit distracting trying to learn something when there is, for example, side-conversations going on in a forum thread, "empty sig-posts" or just random content, written or verbal, in ANY media. Like for example instructional videos. Sometimes you have to wade through a 10 minute video just to get 3 minutes of content.

Well, I'm hoping to rectify that to some extent, and provide a high quality, dare I say even "wiki quality" site which delivers nothing but the meat of each topic. It's early days yet and I'm feverishly adding content to try and set some sort of example on what I'm personally hoping to see, before opening the doors for other people to join and contribute.

Please check it out and let me know what you think. I'd really appreciate your feedback. Also, if you'd like to have your own wiki page on WikiWarrior feel free to go ahead and do a writeup. I can offer a link or two in return to your own main site/s.

The scope of this project is truly massive and who knows, it may well flop and just become a resource I add my personal knowledge and experience to. I think it's worth a shot though. I'm really excited to see where it goes.
