Hey Guys,

I'm trying to get on as many good lists as possible to expand my swipe file and gather some new marketing ideas.

I write for a big publisher in the financial industry - and just ONE idea we swiped from the IM world has TRIPLED (or more) our conversions across the board - which is worth many, many, many millions to us.

SO... I want to get on ALL the best marketer's lists (in any niche), to make sure I'm finding out about any new conversion breakthroughs nice and early.

Obviously, this is something everyone here should do too.

#1 Welcome to Doug D'Anna.com An A lister who has allready done 600 split tests this year...both online and offline.

On his home page you will see the companies he has worked with, so you can sign up to their lists.

#2 Investing Daily Doug and other A listers have worked with them.

#3 Carline Anglade-Cole Carline, as you may already know was mentored by Clayton.

She has a stack of controls on her website you can get your hands on. Also she tells of the companies she works with so you can get on there mailing lists.

Gotta recommend her because she bought me dinner!

Eric Ruth in the fitness marketing niche uses some really good copywriting and marketing tactics. I'd suggest getting on his list or checking out some of his free reports at Fitness Marketing Strategies, Systems And Tools

He gets people to sign up to a webinar, with 2 date choices.

Since going with this method it has made the business more profitable and simpler to control the individual parts to be tracked and improved.

I used to work for Eric Ruth (and his partner Sean Greeley). In-house for a whole year. Haha! Good catch! I think they're 131 on the Inc 500 this year. From 07 - 09 they grew NPE 2000%! Total bad-asses.

Did your Oxford package go out yet?

I think we're still looking for folk - send me a PM if you want the details - it's for an in-house position but you might be able to convince them to give you freelance work...

Although, if you're on contract with Oxford then it'll be a no go I imagine.

Jim Straw is an old-school guru all right.

Except he wasn't just in biz-op alone.

All his biz guides were derived from his 55 years of experience in
diverse fields ranging from being a high-powered dealer...to banker...
to gold miner ...to seller of a wide range of merchandise.

He was making his fortune multiple times over before any
of the modern day Internet guru were even born! Imagine that!

And that's before the Internet was even invented!

Jim Straw is a guy that has truly been there and done that.

It's a real privilege to be his friend.

And I count him as a friend and mentor too.

I discovered Eric in the early 2000's when I still owned my massage therapy center. I was looking outside my industry for killer marketing tactics that I could use to grab even more market share.

How on earth do you keep track of all of these?

Like an email address for each list or niche? This is quality ... I work in the health and fitness industry and so much of the IM world helps in both our online and offline efforts.

Most of it is just business 101 but things like upsells, customer value and memberships sites) are more obvious from IM that offline. Maybe it's just because I've had no formal marketing training and there's so much available in the IM niche without the jargon that comes with old skool marketing books and courses.

How on earth do you keep track of all of these?

Al, the plan is to set-up a gmail account and start signing up. Between myself and my colleagues we should be able to cover the good stuff. I have something similar right now, which I just do myself, but I just open the emails that catch my eye.

A lot of these guys promote some of the same products (reminds me of PLF, Jeff Walker) too. So if there's a breakthrough product released it'll be hard to miss.

Filsaime has announced a while ago he is concentrating on software.
Just came out of the woodwork to do a launch with an Englishman for affiliate marketing.

John Reece says he isn't really interested in teaching as his first love is working on his own projects with his team in the Phillipines. Said he has sold up all his assets and is travelling the world with one suitcase.

Frank Kern says he is concentating on building a business consulting with offline businesses to bring them online. Plans to build big to sell for BIG pay day.

Heard on the grapevine Jeff Walker is doing a launch later on this month.

I have been subscribed since 2001 to Michael Campbell newsletter. He is an Internet Marketer that's following his own ideas but has always great hints about services and infoproducts. He is pretty strong on natural traffic and overall an interesting read.

I have been surprised not to find two "established" Internet Marketers in the list: Jeremy Shoemaker and Marlon Sanders.

Shoemaker site and newsletter is full of ideas in all areas of Internet Marketing, definitely worth checking. He has his own twist on many IM topics.

Shoemoney - Skills to Pay the Bills

Marlon Sanders is "old school Internet Marketing" if such a thing exist. The guy knows his trade and he sends lots of little gems about what works for him. Currently he is also very active in finding rather unknown Internet Marketers with great infoproducts at a budget.

I've watched this guy go from small product launches of his own, to super-affiliate, to product launch tycoon in the niche of Real Estate Investing and education over the span of 2 years. REI is evidently a big niche in itself:
