I heard that copywriters are on the top of the totem pole when it comes to web content submissions. I've got a couple questions. If you know a good amount about copywriting please answer. Thanks.

I am a freelance web content provider trying to get my foot in the door and
find some private clients. I specialize in article writing. I was told in a different thread that I should seek experienced copywriters and see if they have any extra work that I could complete.

Where do I find these copywriters and how do I approach them? Any suggestions that anyone could give would be great.

I'm also looking to beef up my portfolio and I'm willing to take on the right project or projects for free. How do I get the word out? Also, where can I learn to get good at copywriting? I hear copywriters and copywriting in general is the cream of the crop when it comes to web content services.

I want to start a marketing campaign and really advertise myself out there but I don't want to waste a lot of time doing the wrong things. Anyone have any suggestions about how to get your name out there? How should I allot my time?
