Learning to Write a Sales Copy

Good evening All,

My name is Abel and I'm somewhat new to the Warrior Forum. Anyway, I am in the process of launching a website that should be up and running this weekend. I have an opt-in form where my potential clients can opt-in for a free report.

I am trying to learn how to write articles and email swipes that can help increase the probability of a prospect contacting me. If you guys know of any material that will help accomplish what I am looking for, it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Abel

Get on get good email lists, such as Joe Vitale and Ben Settle's email lists.

    Top Copywriting Books....Ever

You'll find what you're looking for in here. Also, check out the archives of Michael Fortin and Gary Halbert. Priceless information lies there.
And get yourself some of the classics: Breakthrough Advertising, Scientific Advertising, The Boron Letters and so on. These will make for a solid copywriting foundation.

After that, it's up to you.

I'm going through Paul Hancox (of this forum) material, Pre-sell mastery. Great stuff so far (30 pages in).

I'm trying to craft the same thing. I'm probably going to do his 6 month metoring program, but need something up for now.

There are no overnight solutions for what you are
asking but at least you want to start learning how
to write great copy. Your best bet may at this
stage to see what is working in your field and
MODEL those pages. As you make changes you
will get a feel for what works and what doesn't.

Hang around here and you may also get some
help from other members as others have.

No matter how much I read about or learn about writing, when it comes to the crunch and doing the work I often struggle to get started.

IMHO you got to know who your writing for and then start writing. The more you do it, the better it gets and the more you write the easier it is to implement what you're learning. I guess it's that unconscious competence or sumthin' I was heard about

I agree with Thomas--get on other lists to learn how they do it.

When I began copywriting, I signed up for lots of email lists and began saving them in a file. Though I didn't copy them directly, having them available to get started was a lifesaver.

For article writing tips, check out Ezine articles. You can access many different writing templates there that give you an easy-to-follow structure to use when you write.
