Good Copy Bad Images.. Your Thoughts?

This salespage for Vince Delmonte's product has me consfused. He blabbers on continuosly about the product being for "Skinny Guys" but the images don't match up. 90%+ of the people in the images aren't skinny at all in their before shot. They have some fat.

What you think about this?

Most of these guys look pretty skinny in the "befores" to me.

I know that Vince has become very successful in this market. The copy is very well written.

They look pretty skinny to me too. If I was a skinny guy looking to build muscle I probably would be interested.

As someone who's 170 pounds soakin' wet... I know a skinny guy when I see one and there's some real skinny guys in those before shots...

Plus... how 'bout that scintillating copy penned I'm pretty sure by a legit Godfather of Persuasion. :-)

Them guys aren't "skinny". I think I counted 2 that qualify for the term "skinny". To me skinny isn't a guy with flabby pecs and a flabby belly, or big flabby arms. Skinny is like a rake... size zero and what not.

The pictures look completely appropriate to me for the sales letter.

Most of the guys started off skinny, used the program and got buff - exactly what the copy describes.

A couple of the guys started off overweight, used the program and got buff. That means if a reader happens to not start off skinny, he can feel the program is good for him too.

I'm really not clear on why these would be thought of as bad images for the copy.

If you read through the beginning, he does mention that:

"And if you happen to be chubby instead, stick with me for a few minutes and you'll see how this will work for you, like never before (and with no restrictive dieting)!"

But what throws me off is the testimonial for Charles Dray. Search him on the page and look at his pic.

A large, hanging belly and 90 days later...A SIX PACK? On a 52 year old?
Look at the rest of him. The chest is practically IDENTICAL in the before and after shots.

Even if you're 20 years old, getting chiseled abs from a protruding gut like that in 90 days is IMPOSSIBLE. And this guy is 52.

Anyone else think this pic is painfully faked?

I was too humiliated by my lack of six-pack abs to look that closely.
