Ecommerce Site Promotion Bar?

hello to all,
am using magento for my small level online clothing store . now we announced some promotional offer for particular category, i would like to show the offer details on top bar of the website to all the pages. is any extension available on the magento community?

    I don't know about a Magento plugin, but you should be able to use something generic like the Hello Bar because this is really just a simple CSS thing.

    Side note: It blows me away that people still use Magento for little niche stores like this. It is a bloated resource hog, and in my opinion, should really only be considered by huge retailers that need a fully customized platform.
