Hi everyone,

It has been a month since I've asked for feedback on my site on this forum and I've received a lot of valuable feedback that my partner and I have incorporated into our site.

We're close to implementing some PPC marketing to drive traffic to our site and would appreciate any feedback before we do so.

A common area of concern before was that our site was slow for some people. Now, we've moved our hosting location to the US to make it faster.

Here are the current issues that we're aware of:

1) Paypal is not working right now on our site.
2) After the newsletter subscription confirmation email is sent, the PDF guide isn't automatically send to the subscriber as of yet.

What we'd love to hear about:

1) The general feel of our website
2) Whether you'd be willing to pay the prices we've listed for the products
3) Are there any trust issues when you browse around our site
4) Which product is the most attractive to you

Thanks in advance. Here's the site:

Looks like a really nice site... The things I notice, I did not see the security badges till I scrolled down to the very bottom of the site. That might be an issue.

I also thought the plus sign in front of the 1 in the phone number looked strange. This is how a lot numbers look in the US
      (253) 243-2001 Maybe an 800 number might be a help also. Just some opinions

        Hi TheEliteWarrior,

I took a quick look at your new website design, and the layout looks fine, it is the sales copy that seems lacking. What is your unique value proposition? I am guessing that it must be that it is "metal", however you sales copy says very little about that. how does metal art differ from other art canvas material?, Is it printed, painted, does it peel and flake?

You need to go into specific detail about how it differs from other types of wall art, and what the specific appeal is of metal wall art. Try to be very graphic in your descriptions so that users can picture it in their mind and image exactly what to expect, along with why they should find it uniquely valuable.

Great point. I'm assuming this should be communicated in all of the text (i.e., including the homepage, product page, category pages and the rest as well.

            HI Elite,

Yes, your value proposition should be embedded and consistently presented across all pages your customers will traverse on the path to purchasing your products, and don't leave out your shopping cart and checkout pages, that is where it costs the most to lose a customer.

Any reason why (e.g., it's color, the feel you get when you see it, the character?,etc.)

Your site looks great! I like the helper person bar at the bottom, very un-obstructive. However, the pop-up bubble after 5 seconds is a bit annoying, as it takes up a lot of space (at 1600x900 resolution on my laptop).

Also, I really like what you guys have done w/ the slider, but you're under-utilizing it. The slides should link to particular categories. You have Contemporary, Floral, Landscape, and Abstract. Make the banner highlight a piece of art from that category and link to that category to draw people into it.
The Free Shipping banner is wasted space that could be used for product highlights.
This is doubly so when the pop-up preaches free shipping as well.
You've already got a free shipping decal in the header, so that's a great start. You could create a static block in Magento and assign the static block to the right or left column on the Category pages, or below the pricing on the product pages.
On your support hours, make sure to specify your time zone. Are you in Pacific Standard Time, CST, EST, what?
Overall, again, I think the site looks fantastic. The art looks really good, and the layout is well done! Congratulations on a great site and good luck!

Shall see if I can configure it to less than 5 seconds.

You have Contemporary, Floral, Landscape, and Abstract. Make the banner highlight a piece of art from that category and link to that category to draw people into it.
Do you mean adding in slider images with the other categories and then linking to them independently? E.g., 1 slider image for contemporary...1 for abstract etc?

But we do have "Buy...By Style" which is clickable and redirects to the category page with links to subcategories. This is the case for all current slider images.

You could create a static block in Magento and assign the static block to the right or left column on the Category pages, or below the pricing on the product pages.
My partner is the programming lead so I'll ask him if this is doable.

      Noted with thanks.

The Website Looks good. I dont know if this is the same as everyone else, but subjectively, I find that there's too much white space in the middle page?

Do you mean middle of the page? If not, which middle page are you referring to?

Site design could be much better, atleast to me, its giving a slight nudge of being unprofessional...

    1. Text in navigation should be centered
    2. Header graphics aswell
    3. Try looking for a nicer font (for headings/menu), maybe at:
    Google Web Fonts
    4. Product blocks should be styled a little better then just the solid border

Otherwise I like the "light" feel of it...

And I was always interested in buying these decorations however they seem expensive ^^ Well. All and all, good luck!

... I can also help you with the changes if you want.

Any examples/ideas of what good borders should look like for the product blocks?

The sales copy on the front page could be tightened up a bit. I'm no copywriter, but it doesn't read like it was composed by a professional to me. 'Here at our website'. I would scrap that phrase for a start. It's just unnecessary. And don't say you 'endeavour' to bring people high quality wall art. Make clear that you actually bring it to them.

I would stay away from PPC, but rather focus on solo ads and some SEO. PPC is too expensive- especially from google or Bing.
