Blogging and bikinis

ECOMMERCE

Okay, this has nothing to do with bikinis, but, how many of you have blogs associated with your ecommerce site? Does it drive as much traffic as I think it could potentially? A far aside: how many blogs do you run? And, how many is too many, in your opinion?

Are you talking about some type of link wheel to drive traffic? I am not sure I follow what you are asking. I seldom run blogs with my ecommerce sites given the time and effort it takes its just easier to plug it into google shopping and others. That being said I might run a series of articles that I drip out in the beginning but this is sometimes the beauty of ecommerce, I think traffic can be easier to get.

Yes, I've seen some stores with a link to a blog (not embedded, part of their store) which takes them to a full-blown blog, which has links to other blogs and back to their store. It's circular in design, and seems like it would drive some traffic from other sites also to their store. (Second part of the question?)

  Since I like to keep people "onsite" I tend to add an external blog as a subdomain (i.e. blog.mystore.com). Other then that I will link out to various social media portals such as tumblr, youtube, etc and then automate but I don't spend a lot of time on link wheels.
