Hello everyone!!Im Ed,a 35 year old 2 time Acute Myeloid Leukemia survivor.I was diagnosed in 2000 the first time and I was 21 years old.So my entire adult life has been set against the back drop of platelets, blood transfusions, nurses and hair falling out lol. When the cancer came back after being in remission for 8 years,we had to do chemo, radiation AND a bone marrow transplant one after another to get rid of the cancer.Ive been in remission this time since April of 2009 and in May of 2012 I started selling on Ebay and was hooked on reselling from the word go!I kept growing and selling in more areas online and off and man it felt great to generating multiple income streams as a survivor.Im just curious about my fellow warriors' war stories and how that helped to develop your business itch. Thanks for sharing if you do,I know its not easy retelling a painful memory, but beating cancer or any other terminal disease is a badge of honor that should be proudly displayed for the world to see.To be able to start a business is another badge of honor so I just want show some respect and love to any of you out here hustling hard in the OR and the board room!!Thanks everyone

Hey Ed, thanks for sharing your story! I can relate.. I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) when I was 22. I was very lucky as my brother was a "perfect match" so I was able to have a bone marrow transplant that same year. I then used my recovery time to get a university degree. There is never a day that goes by that I don't think about that experience, how lucky I am, and how far I have come.

Send me a pm if you ever want to swap war stories!

I Ed, thanks for sharing. Your post is very timely for me—my 76 year old father-in-law just got the all clear on the 3rd of January this year after 6 rounds of chemo. Seems to have caught it really early so he can now get back to his eBay business selling watches among other things.

Best of luck for the future!

My cancer was found accidentally when I went to a dermatologist for another problem. He did a deep biopsy on my nose and got 90% of it with the biopsy. I still needed 2 more surgeries to get rid of it all so it was months of recovery between each one as the nose takes ages to heal.

I am grateful I did not have to go through chemo or radiotherapy and he said he got it all. But I need regular check ups to make sure it doesn't return.

So, if you can call cancer lucky, then I guess I am one of the "lucky" ones in that we got it early enough.

So I appreciate where you are coming from Edward and more power to you. Keep focusing on the positives and try to ignore the negatives.

    Hi Ed,

I'm very happy to read you've been in remission since 2009...that's awesome, man!

I'm currently battling Stage III Cervical Cancer. I finished 25 rounds of external radiation, had 4 rounds of internal radiation, and chemo. My treatments ended in May 2013 but I haven't had a clean scan yet. It's a scary position to be in, for sure.

Just like you, the cancer "recovery" is what's getting me back in the online world.

May you have continued good health,
    Laurie

      Hi Laurie,

Wow, and scary it is indeed. I know a little about cancer as I did a lot of research in the 90-ies (into what cancer exactly is) and as anybody else, I have people around me with cancer. One good friend with breast cancer (51 years of age) is using something called Kangen Water. She is an "amazing" recovery per her medical doctors. Thought to give you a video from a medical doctor about it for your consideration.

I know usually cancer patients get a lot of data about cures etc., but if you just keep doing what you are doing and support it with this water, this might help your recovery. Just check the video. I don't know this guy, nor am I affiliated with any of this, but I just know several people around me have been getting amazing results with this stuff.

      Wishing you all the best,

      Co

Thanks so much for the video and info, Ed. I've got an alkalizing water dispenser, but it's not top-of-the-line like Kangen. I love my Vitamix for making green smoothies. Give me a Vitamix and a microwave and I'm cookin'!

        Thank you again, Ed.
