The easy answer is PPC but unless you've got a huge marketing budget, you'll struggle to scale using this approach. You really need to use the full-suite of digital (and offline) marketing to build traffic; like anything it will be a long and hard road.

    Hi robertcaiiii,

    Direct traffic is rather a little difficult but I would like to suggest/advise to spread your toys business wings on social media channels such as;

    1) Facebook
    2) Twitter
    3) LinkedIn
    4) Pinterest
    5) YouTube
    6) Instagram
    7) Tumblr

    Blogging!

Your site is perfect for a blog. You're a toy site, so it should be REALLY easy to create content that revolves around your brand and your inventory.

The important thing is, though, to AVOID AT ALL COSTS simply blogging about your brand and your inventory.

Create content for your blog that would be relevant, useful, and entertaining to your audience. It's good to develop an editorial identity, and to embed marketing within your content...but it's incredibly important to make sure that your blog is something that is engaging and fun to read. Otherwise, nobody will come back to it, and -- most importantly -- nobody will share it.

You can use your social channels as ways to deliver that content to your audience, and drive a ton of traffic back to your blog.

What's more is that blogging is an incredibly great way to boost your website's SEO standing. When you blog - especially if you do it every day - you're constantly adding new content to your site. Google loves this. Especially in the last year or two - their most recent algorithm updates have been ALL about favoring sites that provide Internet users with the best content.

You've just got to make sure that your content is unique and useful - Google can tell if it isn't.

Hope this helps! Feel free to hit me back if you've got more questions.

Do some research related to your industry and try to get more approaching keyword ideas for your website. Picked out most relevant and searchable keywords to write on. Now the hard part is creating the content that will attract the views, so focus on that.
        Focusing points:
        A. Set relevant/related keywords according to your content which you may not have considered.
        B. Utilize keywords throughout your post.

Note: Don't engage in keyword stuffing and content with so many keywords, it becomes difficult to read.

    You should look at SEO.
Social media will not make you sales at scale.
PPC can be good or great, but it's got a lower ROI versus SEO.

I would suggest you to create a blog not based on your brand but in general about the toy industry and create market awareness about the industry and real solutions to the potential customers of your industry from the blog.

Also, create an affiliate setup and there are many willing to make money online selling other's products. So, auto-create a blog for them on a sub-domain (or let them create a blog for themselves on toy niche) and ask them to promote their blogs and provide them with affiliate links to sell. They get a commission percentage by selling your product. The more they promote their blogs and sell your products, the more they earn and obviously, the more they earn, the more you earn.

So, you get both traffic and increase in revenue by allowing others to promote and sell your products.

    Hi Robert,

For quick and quite cheap traffic try using PLA (product listing ads on google) they convert very well as long as your prices are competitive and much cheaper than the standard PPC.

I agree with Ian. And don't forget to use remarketing/retargeting on your site too! They are cheap and work very well for ecommerce.
