How to Warm Up Some Cold Email Subscribers?

I have this list of email subscribers that have not been touched for a long time. How do I start sending emails to them? Any template or examples I can find online?

    Hi there,

There are many options and many experts in this field to follow and learn from. Have you thought of sending a survey to your list?

I would want to get to know their wants and needs having been out of touch for so long. Surveying your list is a great way to do just this.

    Good Luck

  • You can offer them goodies, or send them "we miss you" message for example.

Write a "I'm back" type of email, explaining why you were away for so long and compensate by offering a freebie of some sort.

You could definitely do this and write some humor into it. Preferably with a humorous story about yourself.

Like how your dog shorted your computer out when he relieved himself on it and as a result you have not been able to email them recently or anyone for that matter until you got your new computer

      Be silly and have fun

start with informative email content first... with all the suggestion given above...to get to know how many of them are still "alive"... then keep on sending them emails... after few weeks or months later... do a filter and remove those that are not active anymore in your list...

    1) Start emailing them in a topic related to what they originally signed up for...at least 2 times a week...(I do every day...)

    2) make it very easy to unsubscribe...put a notice like "you signed up for such and such list and such and such place...if you no longer wish to receive this email then click here...."

yes you will lose some folks...but it is better than them calling your stuff spam...

    3) entertain...educate...(useful but incomplete)....very soft sell....You know like a link at the bottom of your page ...for more information about such and such click the link...No hard selling...They signed up for the list for info...not sales pitches...But you do need to soft sell at least...I mean we are in this business to make money...

    4) after a month or a few months just remove all the folks who haven't opened your email...dont' continue sending to them daily...however keep the emails so that you can re-target through Facebook ads or something...

I just did this on a list of mine in a small market...I had only emailed them twice in 6 months...I just started emailing them daily in the subject matter they signed up for....

I don't really think you have to give more and more freebies...they already raised their hand asking for information and you already gave them something to get on the list....Just start emailing them entertaining and educational (useful but incomplete) information on the subject matter...

of course it is dependent on the market you are in...I am not in IM or make money online or any of those markets....

You can definitely set up a re-engagement email campaign to get these subscribers active again.

I would note that if the subscribers don't engage with this campaign, it's probably best to remove them from your list.

i have a aweber account there I send my subscribers follow up emails with great content that i purchase and change to my branding. you must give your subscribers time to get used to you and you too them. don't try to sell to them right away because there is no relationship between you and them. send good information educating them and driving them to be interested in your products. and with time you will get their confidence, then you can start selling thing to them. i hope this helps. auto responders find at getresponse, or aweber.

Agree with many of my fellow Warriors above.

Why you've not contacted them for a while, and compensate with freebie with commitment to how often you will email and when, so they know to expect your email.
Send a survey related to why they signed up in first place and what would they want to know/want from you going forward? What to need help with?

Like I say most of the above comments are also very helpful.

    Kind Regards
