Buyers List Question...

When you have a squeeze page and you send people to an affiliate offer are those considered a buyer list?

I'm under the impression that if you have your own product that you sell as a WSO is how you can build a buyers list....

Im just confused why is it not a buyers list if you have a sq. pg. and then sale subscribers on an affiliate product. Can anyone explain?

How does an affiliate promote a product and have those buyers become a buyers list to the product creator? How do their emails become the product creators buyers list?

Hope this makes sense.

How do their emails become the product creators buyers list?
When you send traffic to an affiliate offer and they buy, the vendor requires them to sign up to access their purchase.

    It is, for the vendor.

To get subscribers who buy affiliate products from your list onto your buyers list, offer a killer bonus. To receive the bonus require them to sign in to a download page. Set up your bonus list to automatically transfer from your subscriber list.

We're talking experssions here, if you send someone to an affiliate offer from a squeeze page and they buy, then they are a buyer.

But they have shown interest in a product that wasn't yours, so the product seller has probably more leverage than you on that email.

A buyers list is simply of list of people that have purchased something from you. It is typically more valuable than a subscriber list because the people on the buyers list have proven that they have the capacity to send you money. Subscribers on your list may send you money in the future, but until they do, a list of people that have actually made a purchase through you is most valuable.

If you simply refer people to an affiliate product, they haven't purchased from you - rather they have purchased from the vendor for which you are a referring affiliate. These customers are on his buyer's list - but generally not on your list because he is the one that collects their contact information and their money for the sale. You don't know who these people are until the vendor gives you that info which many will not. They are his customers and not yours. They have a buy-sell relationship with the vendor, not the affiliate so they are not your customers.

Yes, you get the email when someone opts in on your squeeze page. But, you will not know if they purchase the product or not.

Simplest way to understand is that whoever is directly paid the money for the product and delivers the product is the one that collects that info and adds it to their buyers list.

So when you refer someone to an affiliate offer and they purchase, you are not being paid and not delivering the product, so don't know who that transaction took place place with, other than that it occurred and you got a conversion in your stats.

That's not to say that you can't get the email of the conversion. Just depends on affiliate or tracking system being used. But it's not the same as a real buyer perse.

So I do a lot of cpa marketing and the biggest cpa system use is Cake. With cake you have links that look like s1=&s2=&s3= So you can enter the email in S2. When you go look at stats, you can run the report of conversions and the email will be shown in the s2 column. Only problem is that anyone that has access to these reports can see it also. So I encrypt the address, so only I know what it is. If it's not cake, then you just have to find the way to do it with the system, as they will vary.

If your using a tracking system like voluum, you can set up a postback url that you give to the affiliate network. You can just find out from support of the tracking system how to do it.
