I don't know if this is the right place to ask but what is the best way to gauge your site traffic?
Would it be through Google Analytics or my C-Panel or something else?

It should be Google analytics because you will need to do SEO on google so the number should base on Google tools

Google Analytics is above all, Use Webmaster at the same time to see the traffic keywords as Google analytics does not show keywords anymore for search traffic.

You can also log into your cpanel and use awestats to get a good idea of how many unique visitors you get.

Google Analytic and you should know how to use it correctly because sometimes you will see some traffic from your own device. You should filter your IPs. or block them.
