Leveraging your own affiliate program

Hi Warriors,

I'm newly on board but have been reading, learning, and implementing some great strategies from you all on this forum and thought now was the right time to join. I'm excited to pick your brains and of course pitch in when I can help.

We launched an adult crowdsourced site a few months ago and now we're faced with the same challenge everyone has of growing/scaling it. Here's what I discovered so far:
- Facebook's new algorithm is a major roadblock for promoting anything that's new (pages)
- Twitter is hard to make sense of with everything that goes on there but still seems to be the #1 social media to promote adult.
- Tumblr is easy to put on autopilot and drive a bit of traffic.
- Plugrush is a great tool but you only get about 25% good geos.
- Buying traffic on Exoclick is easy but gets expensive; it's hard to harness customers for an adult paying site.
- We're not getting answers from sites in the same niche that could monetize their traffic with us (continuously chipping at it).
- We're not having much succes with having blogs write an article about us (continuously chipping at it).

I'm interested in hearing about massive leverage strategies; we just put in place an inhouse affiliate program which we think could be the solution (too small for NATS at the moment). It compensates anyone promoting the site.

#1 What other strategies are out there? What successes have you had personally with them?
#2 How can we put our affiliate offer in front of major influencers who will want to use it?

Looking forward to hearing from your experience.

-Jay
