Can you fill me in on Perry Marshall

Is it not enough for you that more than a decade ago, Perry Marshall quite literally "wrote the book" on Google Adwords?

"The Definitive Guide To Google Adwords" was one of the most important and seminal training products in the space, dude. Set the standard by which all other Adwords stuff was judged and made many of us LOTS and lots of moolah.

Much of what's considered "common knowledge" these days about PPC and Adwords in particular came from Perry.

There are many, many successful Internet Marketers that keep their most profitable streams of income (niches, etc.) confidential. They don't have any reason or need to prove that they have done well. Public success might be a fair reason to listen to someone but the lack of provable evidence does not mean we should always discount what they have to say either.

Perry has built a reputation with his books and information that are still selling on the internet. A lot of coaches will make sure that you at least understand his 80/20 concept of marketing. He has kept an excellent reputation in the industry for providing value, both past and present. The beauty of an evergreen product and valuable information.

He's been a consultant who's generated a lot of sales for his clients. Does taking a company from $200,000 to $4million in sales in just 4 years count for anything?

Add in copywriting and marketing strategy and yeah, he's done a lot more than just write books. He practiced what he preached first, then wrote the books later after producing great results for clients in over 300 industries.

I've known of him for just over a decade because he wrote a book on Industrial Ethernet before he became well known for his Google advertising expertise.

Was fortunate enough to do an interview with him just over a year ago for his 80/20 Sales and Marketing book launch. Super nice guy and knows his stuff.

Apart from successfully positioning himself as the pre eminent expert on Google adwords, writing and selling heaps of best selling books, built a lucrative consultancy business from it, and sold thousands of Adwords products... what has this Perry guy done of note that proves he is a successful marketer?
