finding an autoresponder any recommendations?

I've been looking into setting up an autoresponder to get going on building a list.
I hear alot about aweber but it is 19/month if I remember correctly.
I found this autoresponder that has a one time fee of 4.99 and it's good for life with no ads and seems good. it's called freefollowup.com
I can't put the www in front of it sorry...haven't posted enough yet.
Has anyone had any dealings with this autoresponder?
Or is there any other freebies out there that are good?

    tomcat (cool name!):

I'd be careful if I were you with such free options There're potentially reliability issues plus the danger that your emails might be flagged as spam. The reason why paid services like aweber and getresponse are popular is cos they do the job and do it well.

And, yes, aweb is 20 a month.

For autoresponders - it's got to be aweber all the way.

Check out Aweber or Icontact. I am currently using Aweber, and I believe they are well worth the $20. GoodLuck!

This package is more than an autoresponder but has one included which you can try, along with the other parts of the package for 14 day for a dollar.

If you have a list or downline to promote to, you could easily get your package paid for or even earn some commission beyond the cost of the package.

They cater to Internet Marketers and Network Marketers.

New package is now in Pre-Launch- launch is expected the middle of this month.

    As you are aware free is not always the best choice. The autoresponder that I recommend is Ninjaresponder. Why choose ninja autoresponder;

    A) Reliable 99.34% e-mail deliverability fast
    B) Unlimited campaigns, list follow-up messages

You'll want to sit down and think through what is important for you now, and as far as possible, the future. Changing service later can be a hassle.

Will you want people to be able to sign up by sending an email? Will you be integrating your chosen autoresponder with another service, if so are they compatible? Will you want the choice of single and double opt-in? Do you want to host your own service? And so on.

Aweber is what I use. I think one of the best parts about paying $20/yr is the fact I can also market it as an affiliate. I make $60 for every sale of a yearly subscription.

Please if you do decide to try out aweber us my affiliate link. The free auto responder are ok at best. Just be carful about e-mail limits and when you can send e-mails. Also watch out some of the free autoresponders get your e-mail flagged as spam easily.

If you have any questions give me a call 507-205-7087 or e-mail

You can't do that. That is against the Affiliate agreement of aweber.
      See: AWeber Affiliate Agreement

Affiliate may not use their own Affiliate Link to order services from AWeber Systems. Doing so will result in immediate reversal of any commission.

OP - the forum's search features can get you a lot of information on this topic, which is asked frequently. aWeber and iContact are both great services. I've used them both and currently use iContact and can highly recommend them. iContact has a free trial and there was a coupon circulating a few weeks back for a nice chunk of change - something like 50$ - which for a small list can give you enough time to start making enough to pay the monthly fees. Google icontact and coupon to see if its still available.
    best,
