First Clickbank Product

I'm preparing to put my first E-Course on Clickbank for affiliate sales. I'll also be doing major marketing myself.

Should I do process my own sales through Clickbank? I know it's more expensive than I currently pay through Paypal but I'm wondering if processing my own sales through Clickbank will produce stats that will help attract affiliates?

Thanks for your help!

If you can afford it, use both clickbank and paypal. Clickbank will get more affiliates, which will make you more money. The fee is not going to be as bad as you might think. Give it a test run and see what happens.

I have just moved a product over to clickbank and the order processing is much smoother. With paypal I was always getting people saying they were not put through to the download page.
This doesn't happen with clickbank. (So far So good)
Because of this I am planning to put future digital products through clickbank in the future.

I personally know from experience that the extra cost of setting up your clickbank product is worth it (in sales and saved time due to less errors when product is purchased). Of course if you are really low on money I would say use paypal till you are able to afford the cost but if not seriously consider Clickbank.

About 7 years ago, I had a classifieds type website in a niche that relied upon clickbank only to handle sales. I was getting paid listings every week and about 400 yearly, almost 1/3 came from affiliates within clickbank, no work on my part at all.

Keep in mind that I was illprepared and offered zero support to affiliates, they pretty much had to fly solo which in looking back was pretty stupid on my part.

The worst thing for me was if an advertiser contacted clickbank months afterwards with any complaints at all, 99% of which had been groundless, they refunded the money.

I am getting ready to launch another such project with them now and my understanding is it may not be like that anymore.

Those checks every 2 weeks without doing anything, perhaps 10 mins a day, came in pretty handy.

Clickbank would be your best option in my opinion. Less hassle and you don't run the risk of Paypal limiting your account and losing sales because of that.
