Review of getting leads from InfoFree.com: NO, no, no, no, no

Note to the thread below:
The day after I posted this thread, I got two contacts from infofree. One from customer service and one from a senior executive. Both offering to help me work out the problems I had. Couple of points from that:
1. You can get emails from them. You go into your saved searches, click on each record, and copy the email from a field one at a time. For what that's worth.
2. Both contact seemed sincere and I appreciate the follow up.
3. The Warrior Forum has more power than I thought.

Here's the original thread:
I've just had a very bad experience with them. Here's the nutshell:

At every point the process was slow. For me, it was a hassle to use (see my step-by-step below). And it never delivered the service I thought I had signed up for. I wasted hours of time using the system and never got what I was looking for and thought I had paid for.

+++++I would NOT do business with these guys again. Let me repeat that: I would not do business with these guys again.+++++

Here's my experience:

I wanted to put together an email list.

Other systems I've used have allowed me to make the search, get the number resulting records, and then give a credit card to get the records. Not this system. On this system, I had to give my credit card (make the purchase) before I knew whether I could get what I wanted. (And it turned out I couldn't get what I wanted.)

I thought I'd contact them to see if they had what I wanted. I got on chat, and got a message saying "We'll be right with you...". For 5 minutes. Then I called them to find out they were closed and weren't going to "be right with me" even if I had waited on chat for 36 hours.

So, I signed up for a month blind just to use their system.

I spent the better part of 3 hours doing searches and collecting lists. I had to start every search from scratch and enter every filter, every time. I have used other systems that were far more efficient.

But that's not the worst part.

I started searching the "Businesses with Email" database. I put together 19 lists of businesses with emails. Other systems I've used would allow me to modify a previous search and save those results. Not this system, I had to do 19 searches even though I only changed the State from search to search.

Then I started downloading, and the lists don't include email addresses.

WTF?

Are you kidding me? You think I want a list of "businesses with email" but not their email addresses?

So, I spent 3 hours on a Saturday afternoon, doing really inefficient searches to discover that a list called "businesses with email" doesn't deliver records of business emails.

So, I would be very wary of working with these guys.

It's cheap. Could be better, but if it were, it would be unaffordable.
