Magic Mike IM Guerillas Elite Continuation

Before I could post pertinent information the last Magic Mike thread was closed because of bickering. Please refrain for arguing and stay on topic so that does not happen again.

PayPal has a fraud investigation unit with it's own security division to look into people who charge for services under the guise of legitimate business. Disputes tend to go in favor of the person who is generating the PayPal commission. The fraud unit is not motivated by the same standards.

You can also call Host Data at 713-574-5287. This is the company that hosts his two websites (email addresses, etc). Let them know what has transpired and ask that they discontinue his service. This will prevent him from using other platforms to drive viewers to the websites for the same purpose.

Correction: The information given above about Host Data is incorrect. It appears now the websites (magicmikeim.com & imguerillas.com) are hosted by GoDaddy.com

To file a report you can email them at Abuse@GoDaddy.com - let them know what transpired. Also include the original link for the Magic Mike thread (http://www.warriorforum.com/internet...embership.html) so they know this is not an isolated incidence.

Star808: I was investing in a "college course" curriculum type of learning, I thought. I did learn a few things, but not what I was hoping for. Oh well...

Did Mike Cioppa ever represent to you that he was qualified or previously qualified to teach at collegiate level? Reason for asking, one of the scams before this one, he posed as a Doctor and was the "President" of Employee Success "University." Needless to say there was no university. Misrepresenting yourself as a licensed professional (doctor) is illegal in NYS.

Just to clarify, you don't need to be licensed to have the title "Dr.". You have earned the title "Dr." (and will always have it) once you earn a doctorate in any field (PhD, MD, PsyD, EdD, etc.). Licensure or not. So, in that regard (IF he had earned a doctorate, he wasn't misrepresenting himself in anything that I saw online - but he was if he never earned such a degree.)

That being said, I highly doubt he had a doctorate (the research I did said it was in neuropsychology).

I've no doubt that it's the same Michael Cioppa - the photos look very much like the person in the videos, even with the baseball cap. And all the rest of the puzzle (I did a lot of research - too late, unfortunately) points to them being one and the same.

On one of the three LinkedIn profiles he has (all using the same photo) I believe I recall seeing he claimed to have a PhD in psychology. (My membership has recently expired and did not have a desire to renew.) I took that to mean he was using his credentials as a psychologist in the capacity of President of the bogus university. In NYS you must be registered and licensed as a psychologist. In any event, the time frame he claimed to be in college getting this degree coincided with his incarcerations - surprise surprise. I asked Star808 if he told him he was in fact a doctor or qualified to teach a college course because it would be much easier to prove fraud.

Vintage pre "Magic" without the hat posted under "Mike Brandino" for those who couldn't decide if he was Mike Brandino too or the other photos of him online were the same person minus the hat. Watch the whole video - especially the logic behind "full disclosure." He doesn't own it but is recommending the viewer buys it from him. In hindsight it's classic as he sharpens his "craft" before jumping into the "Elite" scam. Do notice around the 40 second mark when he claims to make a "very very comfortable living." Even HE can't say it convincingly as he breaks eye contact with the webcam looking down.

It didn't take him too long to put away the magic and dust off the PhD:

Dr. Mike Cioppa - LivePerson Expert - Online Marketing

His status is "New" but he's (thankfully) currently unavailable. You can share your thoughts with LivePerson regarding his listing as an "expert" at: connect@liveperson.com

*On October 10th, I noticed LivePerson.com has removed "Dr. Mike" as one of their experts. It's refreshing to see companies take immediate action when notified of frauds <hint hint PayPal>.

Employee Success University was an older scam he ran - he was the "President" of the "University." That website needless to say is long gone. This is about the time he transitioned from "Doctor" to "Magic."

The LivePerson link was sent to me because the status said "New" and it's also a public website where he purports to have a PhD in Psychology. I would encourage anyone burnt by this guy to contact LivePerson. Ask them what documentation (college degree?) he submitted, via the internet or US Postal Service, to garner "expert" status as a PhD. Inform them of this link and the others. Also request they file a complaint with the FBI and provide them with any documentation Cioppa provided to LivePerson.

Also for those who used PayPal to pay him, a representative there said anyone effected can email:
                aup@paypal.com

And put in the subject line:
SCAM being run by PayPal Acct: Mike@LocalBusinessMarketingExpert.com

Write a summary of your experience. Let them know PayPal is essentially facilitating this activity for this person. Request that he be dropped by PayPal.

        Cali16,

There are lots of places on the Internet where you can attain a "Doctorate" degree... they vary in quality... and credibility.

They have a variety of "requirements." Some actually require a Dissertation... Others make you "prove life and/or work experience." "Degree mills" just hand it to you.... After you pay, of course.

There are several people here on WF using the title Dr_______ Did we check all their credentials?

Is a "Doctorate" from a University in a "Developing" nation as valid as a "Dissertation based Doctorate?" It really depends on many factors....

Interesting enough, I remember reading a Dear Abby column about this when I was a wee lad...

        The question....

"My boss bought a 'Doctorate' from a known degree mill. He wants us all to call him 'Doctor.' What do you think?

Her answer, "Yes. You should call him Doctor."

I'll give Dear Abby the last word...

It appears Cioppa ditched the "Dr. Mike" moniker/character after apparently learning it's illegal in NYS to impersonate someone (psychologist) that the State requires licensed credentials for.

No nickname (Magic/Dr./Rev./etc) for this latest endeavor - actually no name at all associated with GetMoreCustomers911.com He is flooding You Tube (263 videos as of yesterday) with the same message but region specific. For someone who claims to be so accomplished, so $uccessful, what a terribly mundane, unprofitable life this must be.

Hey, you can send him an email directly (thru his site) that's what I did sometime ago. He can not have missed it... but frankly, I don't think he gives a damn' !

Rest assured, we will never see or hear him again here.

He's a serial scammer and always will be.

But saying he's a loser... is an understatement.

Clairvoyant he is not. He opted to side-step the "trend" of people catching onto his deception. Who is the "jerk" now???

I simply remind myself that over 99% of the audience isn’t really qualified to evaluate my performance! That being said if I see a trend developing I will look more seriously at the issue... otherwise I chalk it up to the “jerk” factor.

Do you think we will get our money back?

I think a lot of us told Magic Mike that we were really tight in our Budget and that this was our opportunity to get some extra cash.

          Is a shame.........

Mike Cioppa probably grinned each time someone told him they were on a budget full-well-knowing the bogus promises of grandeur would convince those to send him money even quicker. The comment above "I simply remind myself that over 99% of the audience isn’t really qualified to evaluate my performance!" speaks to exactly what he thought about those he was fleecing money from. The hubris, however, from a fraud, is both narcistic and sociopathic. I'm not a clinician nor do I play one online, like Dr. Mike. Just my personal opinion.

I don't know if we'll get anything back from Cioppa or PayPal. My guess is this guy probably put the money into a checking account. When he sensed things were turning against him, he either withdrew or spent it. I think early on he was issuing refunds to keep the heat off of him and appear like a man of his word. When he realized the jig was up, he took off, in true Mike Cioppa style. PayPal must be reminded though that they permitted this activity to happen (for a commission) from an unverified member.

Regardless of how time consuming it is to track this guy down, I honestly feel it's worth every second of my time. This is not only a guy who has done jail time for con'ing people out of money, this is an actual thief. A guy who would drive a great distance to a health club. Gain access to the facility, then rip off lockers while other members were working out. With the internet he doesn't even have to leave his sofa. Cioppa, I think you messed with the wrong group of people. You got caught ripping off the gym lockers and now you got caught with your internet schemes.

I'm really glad you got a refund. The dilemma for many of us is that it's past PayPal's 45-day dispute period. They don't honor anything past 45 days - unfortunately, though, that's how people like Mike set these things up - drag them out (like the coaching and all the delays with the traffic thing) - those who got in early end up past the 45 day period and can't get refunds - despite emails, etc.

PayPal really needs to change this policy, but I doubt they will. It's a great loophole for con artists like Mike.

This is all very sad. Unmagic Mike has ripped off a lot of people. Me included to the tune of $700 for "special training". I looked at the website you gave and do not know how to get my WF name off it. It is a thorn to think that others may also be fooled by it.
    www.magicmikeim.com

When I tried to use it to contact Unmagic Mike it did not work.

At the time I wrote my testimonials, like a lot of others, Unmagic Mike had been good to me. I thought. Skype. Emails. Training. Ideas. And an OTO to a wso I produced. All on a verbal agreement. Although he did seem surprised when I sent him the money I had made with it. I have no doubt he thinks that everyone is fake like him.

I console myself that Unmagic Mike has no friends. No integrity. No self respect. That is his choice and his life will be mean and little because of it. I do not seek vengeance on him, although it is tempting. For him to produce so much bad karma from so many people for himself will come back to haunt him.

I am not embarrassed that I fell for his scam. I believe that most human beings have a core of goodness and that is what I look for. That is who I am and being duped by Unmagic Mike does not change that. My responsibility. My choice. Unmagic Mike is not one of the good people and I pity the lonely, isolated, furtive life he must lead. So much work and stress, for not enough money to make it worthwhile.

I apologize to everyone who read my testimonials. They were given in good faith. I will not be writing any more testimonials on WF. I am not wise enough for them to have any value.

I have filed Paypal disputes for all the payments I made to Unmagic Mike. I wish everyone whom Unmagic Mike has ripped off great success in the future.

Slap Cioppa with a Cease & Desist (in the subject line) email with a violation notice of the New York State Right of Privacy Statute, Article 5, Section 50 (A person, firm or corporation that uses for advertising purposes, or for the purposes of trade, the name, portrait or picture of any living person without having first obtained the written consent of such person, or if a minor of his or her parent or guardian, is guilty of a misdemeanor.) In your case your photo, albeit small, is on your WF profile he has posted on his website designed for commerce. Then notify GoDaddy that this person, whose website they're hosting, is violating your rights. Ask that they, since he has not, remove the content immediately to stay in compliance with New York State law.

I know sending emails are a pain in the neck. After the fact, are there any quick solutions - NO - and Cioppa knows that.

      To DailyBread,
Please continue to post on WF. No one holds anything against you based on your testimonials. I actually ended up profiting from Unmagic Mike for $50. I wonder sometimes if he was trying to con people, or just got into something way over his head. There are plenty of WSOs here about opening membership sites. He probably purchased one and got left in the dust once trying to open one. I think he got totally overwhelmed. I don't really see how, if he is a really an experienced conman, that he profited that much from this situation. Just my opinion.

IF this was the case, then there is absolutely NO reason he couldn't send us all a very apologetic email, explaining where things are at, and so on. But instead he disappeared. He clearly has a long history of conning people and making all sorts of grandiose claims.

I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt even after I confronted him about the Video Whiz issue. Thinking perhaps maybe he was truly trying to help people and his past was in the past. But his silence speaks volumes.

Someone who was merely overwhelmed (and had a conscience) wouldn't just disappear and ignore everyone's emails.

I haven't found anything yet that indicated Mike Cioppa was a smart con man. The guy has been locked up for stealing $11,000. Not exactly someone with high aspirations. I agree, I think he became overwhelmed but because people started to ask him questions about his past when he couldn't timely deliver on what he promised. I've had two people tell me they got fleeced on the "coaching fees." One for $700. the other for $1,100. With that factored in, it's hard to tell what sort of numbers he was doing with virtually no overhead and very little expenses (WF/PayPal/etc).

Given the complaints found online that preceded his WF presence, about his last "Dr. Mike" scam, it's exactly what he did with that. Took the money and ran. Time wise - it looks like he was on an exploratory mission with the moniker Video Whiz while wrapping up the Dr. ordeal before easing into the Magic Mike personality.

He will reappear as he has in the past. He might even try explaining his way out of this one - just to get the last word in but he will resurface some place. Probably You Tube with the next rendition of what he does best.

I had missed the Video Whiz incident until reading your previous post Cali (below) then researched it some. If that's not the mind of a pathological liar! His "office" - give me a break. AjaxMike provided a street view link for the address Cioppa resides at. Clearly the front window of the modest house is the same window you see behind him in the videos. The email address Video Whiz used in the November 2011 post, DrMagicMike@hotmail.com is the same email address Cioppa used in March 2013 to register the MagicMikeIM.com domain. Which by the way, in addition to the criminal background, it looks like the "Magic" one has a kink or two in his closet according to a Google search of that email address.

IF there is a bright side to this, thankfully, he is not an intelligent con man.

    ------------------------------------
    Cali16:
The mod did some checking and confirmed that Video Whiz and Mike were posting from the same IP. So, he contacted Mike and Mike gave the lame excuse that Video Whiz had become his friend in recent months, they both lived in NY, and VW was posting from his (Mike's office). Mike ALSO told the mod that he had only gotten to know VW in the past few months (from the coaching), yet VW made that post (with the "drmagicmike" email nearly two years ago!!).

I am glad that I have found this thread. I still can't quite believe Magic Mike has scammed us after all the good work and support he has given in his previous WSO. I have spoken to and emailed Mike before and he seemed a very guenine and knowledgeable guy who goes all the way out to help his customers.

I bought all of Magic Mike's WSO such as google ranking machine (slideshare) and keyword domination. I gave him good reviews as I found the products to be really good. As a result, I joined his imguerillas membership site without a second thought and I think no one sees this big scam coming!

Like the others before me, I would like to apologise to those who read my rave reviews in his imguerillas WSO and bought this WSO. A few weeks ago, I requested a refund for imguerillas and as Mike ignored me, I have escalated my dispute to a claim. I check that Paypal has suspended his account (probably due to too many complaints) so there is hope that all of us would get our refund back.

I just found this after the other forum was closed. In that forum an 18 year old member "it doesn't make any sense." It doesn't. If he's a con man then he is not very good at it as he couldn't have made much money for all his trouble.

I think he actually intended to deliver. He used his smooth con man skills to sell the dream, sidestep the issues, and BS. I think it was incompetence -- he just in way over his head and he couldn't keep up the BS any more.

I am puzzled by a few things though. Some people testified that they saw the awesome traffic method. I wonder what he showed them -- was it real or a fraud. I wonder what the traffic method was. I suspect it was facebook. Perhaps he thought he really could drive a ton of traffic and conversions from it, but it collapsed when he found out like many others that FB has cheap traffic but it is really poor at conversions. By then he spent the money and had nothing to show for it. I wonder why Mike Esposito (MM's friend) decided to tell us that Mike had a family emergency. He must have known that was BS; why associate himself. Maybe the email was from Magic Mike impersonating Espo.

In the end I don't know if he was an incompetent membership site proprietor or an incompetent con man. The drama was interesting, but it wasted a lot of time. I don't think I even trust the methods taught.

I actually made money (<$12), so I don't really have a financial claim. I suppose I could go back to the coaching WSO and try and get my $77 back for non-delivery, but that goes way back to April I think.

I did a lot of research into Clickbank products and the Power Lead System that Mike recommended, so I did learn something. Thanks to Mike, I was already committed to PLS so I just continued PLS with Jamison Palmer. What a huge difference in that membership group. No hocus pocus methods, just simple techniques and hard work. Tons of support and real training though. The usual sales BS in the WSO though.

Here's what I learned this year: almost all of the WSOs are full of it and you have to get burned a few times before you get a sense of the real from the BS. I don't like the sales BS, but lets face it we wouldn't buy the WSO if they told us the truth. How about this WSO title "Make almost nothing for 6 months while working 50-60 hours a week until it starts to really pay-off and spend way more money on things we won't tell you about while you get nickle and dimed to death. Just $47 /month and only 2% will succeed so very low competition" Who is in?

I'm in with Jamison and PLS and I see it's going to be a lot of work, but I will get there much faster thanks to the training, support, and materials. But I will do it. I would love to post an affiliate link but I can't. PM me if you are interested.

Good luck everybody with wherever your aspirations take you. If it's in IM, watch out for the BS storm.

Just wanted to give a hats off (in hindsight) to Aristocratic for being ahead of the curve on the Magic Mike Cioppa scam. Back on August 20th when the hype and optimism were at a fever pitch, Aristocratic stuck his chin out there and called a spade a spade - and caught flack for it. The handwriting was on the wall - alot of us missed it, refuted it or chose to completely ignore.

Re: [LET ME MAKE MONEY FOR YOU] I Do The Work, You Make The Money!!! - Once In A Lifetime Membership
I hope if this thread gets closed, it does not get removed because people need to see what they may choose to do business with.

    1. Mike has lied over and over again. He initially said that only the first 100 to join would get the 'dfy system' and then he just kept letting people in while avoiding questions about the ambiguity that resulted.

    2. He kept saying a membership site was on its way. It took 3 weeks for it to be released, the information presented in it was novice at best (and some even outdated though doesn't mean it still doesn't work), and it's just several html pages. Wouldn't someone with the means and know-how be able to at least afford to put up a proper membership script/site? He said the site would be updated daily, even hourly, but it has only been updated once to add a single video. That has been since the site was launched 20 days ago.

    3. He said that he would refund half of the second month's fee to those that didn't get clicks or recurring memberships from the first month, but you guys fail to see that that still gives him $97 for the first month where he basically delivered nothing.

    4. He said he would be sharing WSOs; not the full WSOs as that would be against the rules, but just the good information from them. He said this flat out.

    5. He keeps jumping from one 'promise' to another; it's a classic. He tries to string you along long enough to pass the refund period or you have paid him enough where a small refund will not matter. If his "big traffic system" were so great, why wasn't he using it for those of us who were not getting a single click on our links? Even if it weren't ready to guarantee conversions, seeing clicks on our links would have given some of us a better peace of mind that he intended to follow through on his intentions.

All in all he hyped up a service that he hasn't delivered and is trying to continue selling it by telling his current members to 'clean up the sales thread' (not directly saying to stop posting negative or post more positive, but reminding his current members that he certainly wouldn't buy from this thread with all the junk in it now....). The information on the site is mediocre and better information can be found in the forum here (listed in the same format or better: ie. the sections of the forum). One of the Youtube methods he mentions (of the two he posted) he had already sent to us prior to setting up the membership site and the second one was a WSO at least a year ago. It's clear he isn't putting any real effort into returning good quality content for the price tag he is attaching.

He wants to discuss big ticket items that have been out (and no doubt on the black forums for a while), but where are his tactics? Where is his genius knowledge and help? Why does he have to bring up other people's stuff first? Why is that not secondary? Why are you all still continuing to be jaded? Why are you blindly following when the signs are right there? He made thousands off hype and many people's motivation to make money without having to work for it (admit it to yourselves even if you don't want to admit it here).

I recommend you all get out while you can. I purchased this WSO just so I could give an honest review; this is an honest review.

    AjaxMike:
I wonder why Mike Esposito (MM's friend) decided to tell us that Mike had a family emergency. He must have known that was BS; why associate himself. Maybe the email was from Magic Mike impersonating Espo.

I'm waiting for Jamie Rinkelson, Mike Brandino & Video Whiz along with all the other AKA's Cioppa has used, to chime in and explain how this whole thing is just a big misunderstanding.

Cioppa lied to a judge about a family emergency.

I do agree he could've made much more money and do believe that was his intention but the whole thing imploded when he couldn't deliver with stage 2 (see below) while confronting speculation about his past.

In December 2012, he tips his hand while posting to establish himself:

"Well, your audience shrinks as you move up significantly with price points. You'd have to test it out and develop a bit more of a "sales process" to be successful in the higher priced arena.

Like anything, if I'm at the register in Walmart and see I something I want for $2, I buy it. If it's $25, I think about it for a bit, and if its $300, you better sell me on it !!!!"

One week later in his first stage of the Walmart analogy he delivers, DOMINATE GOOGLE and Become a Ranking Machine Within The Next 45 Minutes for $9.

So thankfully, he felt compelled to talk as much as he did. You can go back and connect the dots (not that it helps much now). Recall reading a former co-worker stumbled onto Twirlie after seeing Cioppa someplace. Basically said Cioppa was the same when he knew him back in the '90s. The guy mentions he lost certification (?) and was kicked to the curb. In a post made in November 2012 it's comical how Cioppa spins that phase of his life. He "decided" but at least he got the "TERRIBLE" part right. Unfortunately, MM, you've proved "TERRIBLE" at delivering on your own also:

I decided long ago that I was a TERRIBLE employee !!! Although a "job" serves a valuable purpose, it just wasn't for me. Didn't like anything about it... was always very entrepreneurial. I've been full-time IM since 1997-98 !!!

I'm glad you got your refund.

Good point. It's in their best, long term interest to reimburse those effected by scams that PayPal ignored and helped perpetuate. After the first few complaints from late July/August they should've froze Cioppa's unverified membership/account and investigated thoroughly.

The PayPal people I've dealt with have been decent. I think they try to do the right thing. Amy, the second to last one I was in contact with, flat out said they just can't freeze accounts of those who have complaints/claims against them because their fee is generated by those same people who are earning revenues through services provided - paraphrasing - not verbatim but the message is the same regardless. She intentionally ignored my question when I asked even though the service they're providing is a scam. That to me is troubling but if they have no problem ultimately covering the losses of clowns like Cioppa then it's an expensive lesson learned.

Gijsbertus asked me what exactly I did on paypal to get my money back.

    Here it is:

You simply report a conflict, that's under "my account" the first link on the left of "my profile" (at least this is so in my german paypal).

I also had to say what the reason for the conflict was. Well, none of the points which I could choose fit to my situation, I simply chose "Amount was too less" which somehow was appropriate because the promised traffic of Prof. Dr. Dr. MD Miracle Magic Scammy-Mike was really too less.

Together with that I also showed them the exact WSO URL because Paypal wanted to see it.

I also had (or could) write a message to the seller. This is what I wrote:
Hi,unfortunately, my expectations were not met. You also don't respond to emails and I also didn't receive any updates from you and traffic also stopped. I want to make use of the 30 day money back guarantee.
Then I had to wait a few days until the seller responded. When nothing came in I could file for buyers protection.

I had to write another message. This is the exact message I wrote (I wrote it in German, translated):

Unfortunately, this person has turned out to be a scammer.

After that I had to wait 10 days. Paypal wrote that if within this time frame there is no reaction of the seller and I also have not solved this problem with him, they would check the case again and come back to me.

When I reached this 10 day limit they came back with my money

I hope you will also get your money back, but don't wait so long, if I am not wrong you must report any problems within 45 days after purchase!!!

Great - another year on the planet with this loser!

On September 27th, I posted (above) that Cioppa dusted off the "Dr." alias and was listed as a *NEW* "expert" on a website called LivePerson.com. He attempted to solicit his "professional advice" ($5.00 per minute) as a card carrying PhD in Psychology - skilled in all aspects of business. It appears enough of us contacted LivePerson to set the record straight. The (generic) reply I got was he had only been a member since September 3rd 2013. They hadn't yet given him final clearance to render his services but would look into the information provided. As follow-up, last night I discovered they had removed his information and the link is now disabled: http://www.liveperson.com/expert/dr-mike-cioppa/

    Hi everyone,

I also got my refund back!

Gijsbertus and others who need to know the procedure, this is what I did:

    1. Log into my paypal account and click on the "resolution centre" tab at the top.

    2. On the new page, click on "Dispute a Transaction" yellow tab.

    3. Next, click on "Item Dispute"

    4. Click on "find transaction id" button at the bottom of the page. This will lead you to your transaction history. Click on the transaction id you wish to dispute. (Please note that Paypal only allow you to lodge a dispute within 45 days of payment.)

    5. Next, press continue and select "I'm opening this dispute because:I haven't received my item."

    6. You will now need to type in the full reason why you lodge the dispute. The seller, Mike can response to your dispute.

After waiting for a week, Mike did not reply and I upgraded my dispute to a claim, reason being that Mike ignored my emails and did not reply to the dispute. I gave Paypal the url of this thread to prove Mike scammed many of the people buying his WSO.

After waiting for another 1 - 2 weeks, I received an email from Paypal saying that I have won my dispute and they refunded me the money within a few days.

The bad thing is that Paypal only allow a dispute within 45 days of payment. I could not ask for more refund from Mike. I bought his Launch Jacking package and there was supposed to be three 1 hour session of consultation with Mike. I got none!

I hope this posting will be useful to those who are still trying to get their refund back.

From what I've read, Cioppa has been arrested and sent to jail/prison for stealing money from a girlfriend's father and stealing wallets from gym lockers. To the best of my knowledge he has never been arrested for his online scams.

    -----------------------------

"Pitcher said Cioppa admitted that between Feb. 1 and Feb. 11 he told Frederick H. Tietz of Schenectady, the father of his girlfriend, Ruth Tietz, that he knew a stockbroker at Merrill Lynch in Albany and could get a "great deal" investing money on his behalf. Cioppa, who is on probation for pulling the same scam two years ago, told Tietz that for every $1,000 he invested he "would get $3,750 back within eight weeks," the prosecutor said. Tietz gave Cioppa a $10,000 check to invest for him and $1,000 in cash to invest for his 27-year-old daughter, who lived with Cioppa at Oxford Heights Apartments in Guilderland, Pitcher said. Cioppa had no connection at Merrill Lynch and didn't invest the money, the prosecutor said. Instead, he deposited the money in his own checking account, and used it to live on, including spending $3,000 as a down payment on a new Suzuki car, Pitcher said."

Well folks, as predicted, Magic Mike Cioppa has resurfaced this time with:
    www.getmorecustomers911.com

You Tube video doesn't show his face but I'm sure you'll recognize the sinister voice. Cioppa apparently has learned from his last scam to now disable the comments section on You Tube so viewers are not able to alert others.

He is now using a new email address: magicmikemarketing@gmail.com most likely so he could open a new PayPal account and start all over.

    www.MoreCustomers911.info

*Notice how he charges (2) different prices for the same (3) month service.

He apparently has learned not to put all his eggs in one basket like with IMGuerillas.com. A person could speculate, when he feels the heat from one of these new ventures he simply walks away, like he did with IM Guerillas, and resumes business as usual at another.

If there is anything I learn is that there is no easy money and no one in here tries to help you for free. They want you to opt in into their email list when you actually want to talk with someone and ask questions. How pathetic is that!? Every wso is just a sales pitch for them to make money, not for you to make money. They sale dreams and hopes to desperate new people like myself but not anymore. I am done with all of this IM industry and I am going back to a technical school and studiyng diesel mechanic which is a 2 year course and after completion I can get a job with my cousin company which they start you at $27/hr with just your certificate of completion. It appears Cioppa's ID on WePay is: www.wepay.com/stores/935248/item/511200

I've been traveling extensively on business and was surprised to learn that Michael Cioppa's has resurfaced with a new Google ranking endeavor www.localleads911.com The domain is registered to Cioppa at the Albany address. When searched however the name "Michael Esposito" appears to be associated with it. The photo on the LinkedIn profile (http://www.linkedin.com/in/michaelesposito1/nl) could possibly be a photo of Cioppa when younger. In any event it appears he's using this person or this name (like Mike Brandino and the other alias' used in the past) to open a new PayPal account - seeing "WePay" isn't exactly trusted and/or main stream. Search the phone number 732-927-1276 and you'll find that "Esposito" is supposedly an "entertainer" much like Cioppa had a past as a magician. Cioppa has also registered the domain www.DailyDealGuru.com where the 929-224-0343 phone number is a registered Google Voice number (Bogus number that rings to your cell phone. The caller must state their name before the call is put thru to your existing cell phone.)

    Thanks for the update.

The Paypal button leads to this "Sorry... Invalid posted information..."

Maybe that account has been banned?

Not sure why it would link to paydotcom. Maybe the ranking service didn't work and he wants to sell affiliate product.

If this is the same guy, how easier it would have been to be honest with all of us.

Thanks Noel2010 for checking out the PayPal button. Hopefully he was banned after his past activity using PayPal to fleece people.

    It's definitely Cioppa's voice on www.DailyDealGuru.com

Whether it's an earlier photo of him or not on the "Mike Esposito" LinkedIn page is up in the air. What are the chances, however, the Esposito photo resembles Cioppa AND the www.LocalLeads911.com URL found on Esposito's LinkedIn page is registered to Cioppa in Albany - which it is??? Below find a photo of Cioppa as he evolved from "Minister Mike" into "Dr. Mike" (D.D. - "doctor" of divinity that can be purchased online for $49.00). Didn't take much creativity for the "Mike Brandino" alias he uses since his step-kid's name was "Brandin." His "beautiful wife" Teresa didn't stick around too long. Court records indicate they're now divorced.

It bothered me that I was still wasting time on this ex-convict but if it can save someone else the grief of feeling scammed by him my/our collective efforts are well worth it.

***Thanks for Noel2010's discovery, anyone interested in keeping Cioppa honest can email PayPal at Spoof@PayPal.com to report that www.LocalLeads911.com is using a PayPal button and deceptively redirecting to another website. They do not take kindly to this type of fraud.

Michael Cioppa of Albany NY, certainly should've made a profession out of being a magician (aka Magic Mike). He can pull an alias out of a hat better than anyone else I've ever seen. Let me introduce you to: "MICHAEL CARDINELLI"

    www.michaelcardinelli.com (website template look familiar?)
    www.thelocalappguru.com

Although Cioppa's name or aka Cardinelli does not appear on the following websites he owns these also:
    www.videoleadguru.com
    www.dailydealguru.com
    www.localappguru.com

This imbecile turns his head sideways as a form of disguise? Nothing looks suspicious about that, heh???

It appears with the new alias comes a new address for the unMagic one: APPs for Local Businesses

    12 Washington Avenue
    Albany, NY, 12205
    929-224-0343
    michaelcardinelli@gmail.com

I do think it's kind of funny, however, that a guy who can barely master the basics of Coffee Cup (via the now defunct IMGuerillas.com) is now offering services on thelocalappguru.com to customize your tablet. God help the poor suckers who fall for that one.

I will probably get flamed for saying this, but, anyway....

I foolishly got involved with the coder that MM was using to create his "amazing" traffic system. Which, in the end, didn't happen and left MM looking like an idiot to a lot of people he had genuinely helped. MM told me that his coder had proven "unreliable' and had issues. To cut a longish story short, I was approached by the coder, we'll call him, say, Dean, and was asked to fund his brilliant traffic system. He was sad and homeless and had a crappy computer and a girlfriend who hated him and other good stuff happening in his life. As MM had told me. Anyway, dumb, soft touch me sent him a few thousand dollars to get him established, paid for his server hosting for an entire year and ended up totally losing about $5k to him with, approximately, ZERO return. Zero working traffic system, banned from Getresponse and a few other distinctly non-helpful things in my life.

My take on all this disaster is that MM actually got sucked in by Dean, genuinely wanted to help people on WF and then was left holding the baby on a sinking ship which promptly sunk.

I don't say MM is faultless, but I think in this case he was scammed by a superior scammer. Possibly on the one time he seriously wanted to genuinely help people. I, and a lot of other people all got our money back from MM from Paypal. I lost far more to Dean than I ever paid MM.

I have well moved on now and am not defending MM, but I think, in this case, he was genuine and just overcome by circumstances. I think it is best just to get on with our lives. We all win some and lose some. Such is life.

Sorry - sounds very Cioppa-like to me. A lame attempt at internet damage control.

You are also the same person who gave numerous testimonials on here and appeared on his now defunct website giving a glowing review that he used to sucker other victims in. Kind of like VideoWhiz, Mike Esposito, Mike Brandino, Michael Cardinelli - shall I continue? Remember the VideoWhiz moniker??? Started out singing Cioppa's praises personally and professionally. Cioppa would have erroneous exchanges with him online. Then when the VideoWhiz moniker was caught using Cioppa's email address, Cioppa denied knowing the guy. Then Cioppa remembered he befriended VideoWhiz a few days before and let him in his house to use his computer and apparently his personal email account too. Seems you two know quite a few people down on their luck because that's what Cioppa said about VideoWhiz. It's troubling & puzzling why you're still trying to validate/justify Cioppa. Shine a light to save other people from being scammed too.

If you were suckered by the same "coder" why are you making an alias (aka Dean) for him? Why not start a new thread blasting his name to all of us and post his contact info so we avoid him? Nothing personal but you seem to have a knack for finding/defending crooks.

Lastly, anyone who was on MagicMikeIM.com, IMGuerillas.com and currently SellMyHouseFast911.com realizes there are NO coder(s) involved - format wise or systematically. It's rookie stuff done by Cioppa himself with free CoffeeCup Software - childish and unprofessional. Any coder he may've mentioned was a red herring to stall/bide time. How do you know "the coder" you supposedly sent $5k to wasn't Cioppa, scamming you again, like he masqueraded as being VideoWhiz and all the other bogus alias'??? No one ever accused Cioppa of being smart. Regardless of the content - he takes bits & pieces from what he finds similar online, wraps up in his "branding" and puts out there casting a wide net - fleeces - then moves on. The same modus operandi he has used since the early 1990's when he was robbing girlfriends and gym lockers. Now he gets to do it from his living room couch.

'MAGICIAN' ADMITS GUILT IN SCAM THAT MADE $11,000 DISAPPEAR

      Date: Friday, July 30, 1993

A city man who said he works as a local magician admitted in court Thursday that he took $11,000 from his girlfriend's father, claiming he could turn it into a high-yield investment. Instead, "he made the money disappear," said Stephanie Pitcher, a law student who handled the case for the attorney general's office. Michael G. Cioppa, 36, of 22 Keeler Drive pleaded guilty before County Judge John G. Turner Jr. to felony counts of third-degree grand larceny and fraud in the sale of securities, which were contained in a prosecutor's information. Under terms of a plea-bargain agreement, he'll be sentenced on Saturday to six months in the county jail and five years on probation, Pitcher said. He remains free on $10,000 bail until then. Pitcher, who lives in Castleton, has finished her first year at Boston University Law School and is a summer intern for Assistant Attorney General Thomas J. Neidl, who heads the Albany Criminal Prosecution Unit. She received permission from the Appellate Division to handle certain court proceedings in her capacity as a law intern. Pitcher said Cioppa admitted that between Feb. Instead, he deposited the money in his own checking account, and used it to live on, including spending $3,000 as a down payment on a new Suzuki car, Pitcher said. Cioppa's scam was up when his girlfriend turned him in. According to court documents, Tietz told authorities that his daughter called and said Cioppa did not have a friend at Merrill Lynch and never invested the money. At the court proceeding, Pitcher told Turner that Cioppa's parents borrowed money and paid Tietz back, in effect, making restitution for him. Cioppa, who told authorities he works as a magician, held a broker's license years ago, Neidl said. Two years ago, Cioppa was sentenced to three years on probation in City Court for a misdemeanor conviction "of stealing $3,000 in the same exact manner," Neidl said.

Thanks for the heads up! I would stay far away from that. I recall seeing here or on another website something similar. It ended up being Cioppa posing as "the coder" - much like he was tripped up posing/posting as VideoWhiz on here. Anyone who visited his IMGuerillas.com website would quickly realize it was not professionally done/coded. One would think the website would be first-class if he had access to coders - to sell the traffic system better.

Out of the blue I received an anonymous message tonight telling me the scam "guru" is up to his old tricks but now Cioppa is known as "Mike Carano." His new website features a generic Youtube video of Barbara Corcoran from Shark Tank notoriety to lend some credibility to his recent endeavor? Be Cited As An Expert On ABC, CBS, Fox & More and if you can't get enough there you can "chat" with him at ChatWithMike.info I attempted to "chat" with him about his now defunct IMGuerillas & MagicMikeIM scams but he was "unavailable." Go figure! Beware! Wouldn't it be great if Cioppa just got a legitimate job at Walmart or some place?

Can you only imagine what these people think they're going to get for the bargain price (NOT) of $797.00? His creepy voice-over work with childish graphics for Youtube videos that no one is going to watch.

*Some folks apparently are not amused by Cioppa's internet tactics: http://www.noomii.com/blog/6085-warn...ormedianow-com

September 2016: I was told by someone who is preparing to file suit against Tragic Mike Cioppa that he has been hopping around recently since screwing people over with a options trading scam. He's implying he's in New York City, also claims to be in New Jersey but has recently opened up a post office box in Albany. Chances are he's using the other locations to throw people off his track.
If you happen to be a victim of his and found this site from a google search you might want to contact him at:

    PO Box 8411
    Albany NY 12208

After doing a google maps search this post office is nearby the Keeler Road address he still uses to register new domain scams.
