Local Event: NY/NJ Lunch Anyone?

It's been a while since I organized one of these. So I am exploring the possibility of doing one (probably mid-October). Hinges on interest.

Location - not determined.
Date - Not determined (as stated, probably mid October on a Saturday)

Anyone interested, please suggest date and place. Open to suggestions.

Decided to go ahead and schedule something (as per my post below).

I'll say my old stand-by: Ruby Tuesday's at the Garden State Plaza Mall in Paramus, NJ. It's located at the intersection of State Routes 4 and 17 about 10 miles or so from the GWB.

This will be a "Buy your own lunch" event.

Date - Let's say Saturday, March 20th. That gives us just under 2 months to clear the day.

Time: 11:30am outside the restaurant (inside the mall). Go in at noon.

How does that sound?

Always read this forum, just got the urge to sign up tonight!

Awesome to find other people from the area too. I've been IMing for about 2 years now. Trying to learn and grow every day.

If the group is small, say ten or less, I can host a meet-up at my house. I have a fairly good-sized party room (complete w/ bar, pool table, and dart board--sorry no foosball for Mike Filsaime).

I live in Melville, near NSP, rt 110, and LIE.

If you want to do it on a weekend, Nov. 14 or Dec. 12 works for me.

I've been talking to a few Long Island Warriors and we're
looking to get together sometime soon for a local meet up.

Nothing big just a local meet up.

A big lunch would be great to meet as many people as possible
in the area but that might take more planning.

I'lll update the thread as some of us get closer to a meet up date.

So it's time to see how many of the people who posted subscribed to this thread. If you did, come in and let's schedule something for March. By them weather should start breaking a bit and it's far enough in the future to actually PLAN this.

I'd love to meet up in March, and I live in North Jersey, so NYC isn't completely out of the question for me.

If possible, though, I'd like to meet up even earlier with whoever is around. If anyone wants to do a North Jersey lunch or go out for drinks sometime soon, let me know. PM me, and I'll plan it out.

Shoiab thats a valid point but this would be the same as going to any IM event or business lunch. You just meet people and start trying to network together if there is a match you jv or something. if not so be it. With that said I'm in to meeting in March.
