Newbie Solo Ad Question

Im just gonna get to the point without boring you,

- How do you track solo ads? For example i always see people saying 'wow 75% teir 1 traffic' and the like. How do we, as buyers of solo ads find out how and where the traffic has come from?

- When you buy a solo ad, do you always provide the vendor with an email swipe?

Sorry for the n00b questions, please don't shoot me.

Thanks

You need to invest on tools called core click maximizer, quality click control or my click boss.

Price range from 80$ upto 300$

    Hi,

This one is a great tool for locating where your traffic has come from:

    ClickMagick

Also you can use Visual Website Optimizer too.

    The numbers NEVER LIE!

You'll always be flying blind if you don't track your traffic.

    All the best,

    Gavin

You use solo ad trackers. I personally use my click boss, but it is a little bit difficult to install. It's better to get that part outsourced. If you want an easy tracking solution use something already hosted like click magik. The tracker will tell you what clicks came from what countries.

It depends on the provider really. Some will use yours and tweak, some will use their email swipe, but just send your email swipe just in case they might use it.

Yeah! Above given tools are known as "Click Trackers - cum Rotators"...Which can track and redirect traffic to another link when you have completed the agreed percentage or numbers of clicks to a particular link.

As far as swipes are concerned, many solo ad vendors do not like to have swipe files from their clients..The reason is that know how their list members behave and what will get the most out of a certain broadcast from a single mail.

I hope, it will help you.

If you're looking for a free way, you can just use Bit.ly to shorten your link , this will track clicks, what country they come from, etc.

    Cheers,

There are downsides to using the shortened links method.

      1. It looks spam-ish.

      2. It is a loss of opportunity.
You can use a sub-directory from your website to redirect the request. This hides the destination as well as calls attention to your site. However, more attention is required to keep the stats.

There are couple of different methods.

1.) You can use a paid tracker like AdTrackzGold
2.) You can use Bitly or Google URL Shortener

To track unique hits I like to use Pretty links and from there study where the traffic is coming from.

    Hope this helped.

    1) I use AdTrackzGold and My Click Boss. Both do a great job with tracking.
    2) Some vendors will use your swipe and others will not use it even if you provide one.
    3) I am more concerned with your last sentence: "Sorry for the n00b questions, please don't shoot me." Don't EVER feel bad for asking n00b questions. That is THE best way to learn about anything. Fire away! This is one Gunn who will never shoot because a question is asked! You heap a lot more trouble on yourself when you DON"T ask!
