Hi Guys,
I had good success with Kindle publishing, but right now I spend all my earning on university and food. So I decided to write my own book. Because I'm not a writer, I'm thinking about recipe books and wanted to ask you guys, maybe someone knows what are the amazon terms and conditions for recipe books? Can I just find good recipes from internet put them together and publish it on amazon? I mean just copy the ingredients and directions from websites, no description.

    Hi

Just like to say, you should find more than enough stuff on YouTube covering Recipe Book creation and production.

    Have a look see . . .

I tried to find something on YouTube on recipe book creation, but I didn't find anything that goes into details, just found some webinars... Could you please send me a link to a good tutorial if you can?

Just a coment - I know that cookbooks are not usually a great work of literature but it should be more that just a list of recipies. Perhaps a theme such as Mexican cooking, Asian cooking, healthy recipies, etc. Some amount of writing and creativity needs to be used to make the book attractive to potential readers.

Thanks for your advice. I might hire a writer to write an introduction and something creative and put recipes by myself

if you can find a good niche theme for your cookbook it might be worth it.. don't see generic recipe e-books working when there are several sites with thousands of free recipes on them..

Of course I'll do my keyword research, evaluate my competition and just examine which recipe books sells.

Recipe books were among the first to get hammered on Amazon and kicked out by the thousands. The deal was that someone sold databases of recipes coupled with a software that created and posted recipe books en masse.

You seriously need unique recipes, a great cover, pictures, a small niche market, a corresponding website and Facebook page and willingness to sell your first book for 99 cents.

While it is true that ingredient lists cannot (for the most part) be copyrighted, the media in which they are presented online are copyrighted and you cannot simply copy them and put them into your book.

Recipes can be a great market, for sure, but not for a copy-paste book.

Can you explain more what do you mean by saying: "the media in which they are presented online are copyrighted". Because from this sentence I'm not sure if you're saying that I can copy ingredients and directions or I can't?

Also are you sure that SIMPLE recipe books can't sell? Because I did research on amazon I found a lot of profitable keywords and simple books that make around $100+ per month.
