Only because the seller is asking for this price does not mean it will sell (or at all) " ... because of financial pressure" will not help too to get $ $4,750,000 for the site.

      Hi,

      It's an interesting concept.

What doesn't make any sense is that if it was legit, and the back end system that uses VOIP to make the calls is in place for those 2600 models of phone, and all of their other claims are true - there is no reason on earth why you wouldn't launch it and get a large customer base before selling it.

So it appears that everything is in place and ready to go, but they want to sell it just before properly launching and establishing themselves. They even allegedly have a 2-tier referral system in place.

      Something's not right.

The site would generate much more interest and would be far more valuable if they kept it long enough to show that there are companies out there interested in purchasing this technology. It sounds like an interesting technology and if it actually works as describes, it could easily be sold for that amount and more, but I'm skeptical that they went this far with it and then just stopped.

It's a back links technique. Put a crazy price on it, have people linking to the site and talking about it like this. Then you build links to it viral style and the name wcell becomes known etc. Then maybe a company will grab ahold of it and pay him a lot.

Wow. This is a good viral marketing method. The site will gain traffic from all the buzz. And if it really sells for $4.75 million -- the owner just cashed in some nice cash.

    Win-win situation. LOL

by word of mouth this site might end up on tv. then it would get some traffic and then they might sell it. i don't think anyone is going to spend 4 mil right out of the box though.

Maybe they just don't have the capital to buy the hardware and bandwidth needed to power such a network. Or maybe they're just a bunch of nerds developing software who realized they didn't understand anything about business.

Ok Guys.... Here's the deal ..

Now i dont know what makes this guy put up the tag, whether it's worth it or not or any of that but this guy has been doing some talking about this which is what i picked up from the Black hat forum. Cant post link here...

Whateva the case might be, the technology he could not sell because its a high budget market against some big B's... You need a very solid foundation ( big bag of bucks) to do anything and get anywhere.

What i see is a one of those million $ investments that just one fine day you realise its not there anymore ...

You can visit to wcell.com - Traffic Details from Alexa

The website had into the big 100,000. This traffic is sudden!

You can see estimated value of the website - www.cubestat.com/www.wcell.com

If the investment is $4,750,000 for a website, I prefer Twitter.com.

Wow..the concept is good. I can see a company like magicjack adding this type of technology. If they would make this a paid app on iphones, I'm sure they would make their investment money back in a short period.

I think the current owner of the site KNOWS that nobody is going to spring for 2 mill for the site... so for the $20 fee (or whatever Flippa charges) to post this site this guy/lady will get PLENTY of traffic to the site, and his/her legend will grow exponentially. The site/idea will be bought sooner or later, but for now they have made a very small investment by posting the site, which will pay off big time in due time.

Yeah, for example, if I see a site that is on bid for like a million or more, I'll be curious to check it out.

Not a chance in hell that site will sell for a few million without traffic or revenue.
