Default Live Offline Biz Case Study In Action - Suggestions to improve this business owners website?

Hey,

I setup a JV deal where someone emailed their list about my IM consulting services in exchange for me sharing my IM knowledge on how to improve their site.

This is a very simple and effective way to receive a flood of prospects and clients. This strategy is absolute gold - you don't need to go through a 30 day intensive course to make money - what I wrote above is enough!

I have a client who paid me $297 to prepare a detailed report on exactly what he can do to improve his website here [removed]

So far some of my ideas are:

- write attention generating headline
- split 3 columns into 1
- put testimonials into a highlighted box
- put it into a sales letter format with CTA at the bottom
- make website width inline with banner
- get a better looking more professional banner
- don't have links in the middle of the page, put them at the bottom.
- have those links going to the same website, not another!

Here's a chance to sharpen your IM skills... What else could be done to improve this website? If you see something I missed out I'd love to know what. Cheers!

Does he know you're sharing his website here asking for advice? Would you want others considering your services to know you're posting in forums asking for advice they paid for?

Those are sincere questions, maybe this is OK with him/you.

This thread is already ranked in Google for his domain.

Frankly, I'd be pissed if I paid someone $300 bucks for advice and they were asking for it in a public forum, and sharing my identity no less.

What I'm doing is adding even more value. I could've simply used the things I suggested, but in an effort to add even more value I'm asking for further advice. I'm going above and beyond what I was required to do and frankly if someone was doing that for, I'd be fine with it.

The fact is, he just wants to know how to improve his site - if my advice is effective he wouldn't care how I got it.

And also I see this as a good opportunity for everyone who looks at this to sharpen this IM skills by learning something new. This no theory bs or a 'what if' scenario, this is the real world right here and where the most important learning can be made.

MOVING ON and to get the ball rolling, other improvements are:
- add a handwritten signature image rather than typed
- better title
- clearer introduction of the sales copy

I would convert it to wordpress, get a professional design, trim the keywords and fix the SEO (permalinks, categories, pinglist, tags).

Then I would have a pro looking name capture, video sales intro and remove that affiliate grab to a more discreet location.

Fix this sentence. (Its blue and on the upper right of his page)

Discuss your specific needs with one of Specialist Consultants:

Some of the pictures are missing.

What is. $US35 pwk? "For as little as $US35 pwk. includes Customisation and indefinite Support."

Take the "View Demo" button down until you don't have to say "coming soon."

Converting his site to Wordpress will help organize it a bit, but I think the most important thing to ask yourselves when redesigning his site is,

"What do I want the visitor to do?"

Lead them through the site and make tweaks towards priorities. That current site is just so garbled and all over the place, there's no way to tell what I'm supposed to do there or click on, and nothing gets my attention. This = bounce rates. And yes, even from "business card visitors." If capturing leads is what he's looking to do, make sure you lead the visitor to that area of the site.

Measure every tweak and then furnish these tweak results to him as you go. What can be measured can be improved.

Kindly,
John Dennis
