Amazon Affiliate Account Application Rejected. Why?

Hi Guys,

I am Sujit Yadav. A Game artist that runs a website "Unlucky Studio". I am earning a few dollars from my books. A month ago, I created Amazon Associate account and became an affiliate. In the starting 20-25 days, I didn't earn any money. But then I made my first 2.98$. I was happy. But after two days I got a mail saying that

Thank you for applying for the Associate program. Upon review, we are unable to accept your application. A part of our criteria is that your site has to be established with enough unique content. We rejected your application due to one or more of the following reasons.

- Lack of content which is original to your site and beneficial to your visitors
- Pages that are mainly empty when advertisement content is removed

Unfortunately, we aren't able to review an application once it's been rejected. If your website has been further developed and now contains appropriate content, you're welcome to submit another application by using the following URL:

http://affiliate-program.amazon.com/gp/associates/join

I was shocked. I have a pretty nice website in my view . I have original content. But why it happened. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Looking at your site, you have a reasonable amount of articles but the majority seem to be very thin I'd assume that is why they rejected your application.

    It's all explained in their email, so not sure what you're asking?

    If they're saying you don't have enough content that means whatever you have is not enough for THEM, right?

    Post an extra 50-100 articles or so, make them 500 words at least, and then submit another application.

    Funny, your web site is better than mine. I have been an affiliate for amazon many years. Not sure what their reason is. Maybe they just do not like your focus on new games. What can we say on amazon. This sorry company has some serious issues. Did we say sorry company.

    I agree with Al, ask your questions in the right place and you may get better answers...
    People tend to think WF is a catchall support for every product or service under the Sun, why? Only they know...

    Anyway if you must, it's OBVIOUS! Amazon laid it out in black and white:
    - Lack of content which is original to your site and beneficial to your visitors
    - Pages that are mainly empty when advertisement content is removed
    I checked the first 5 articles/posts on your site and between them there is less than 1000 words. All they are, are pics , a few words and links to wherever...

    Help me understand, I don't get paid unless my site or links get some traffic and a client purchase's something, how is that any skin off of Amazon's back to having me as an affiliate??

      As an affiliate, you represent them in the marketplace. YOU are a part of their corporate image.

      Real companies (especially those that intend to survive long-term) are conscious of their image, both online and off. They protect that brand, as in the long run their brand makes them a lot more money than all of their affiliates combined... much less one single affiliate.
