Hi all,
it's when you come across sites and initiatives like this that I feel IM, and the Internet in general, can be used for some good and help those less fortunate who actually want to make a difference to themselves and their families. I only have a few posts so cannot include links in my post, but at this site, www kiva org you can empower other fellow entrepreneurs to make a difference to themeselves and there families.
You can loan small amounts of money - say $25 -
to micro-entrepreneurs in countries like Cambodia, Indonesia,
Peru and Uganda. They use the money to grow their business
and then pay it back.
You can then re-loan the money to others. This "teach a man how to fish"
at its very best and it's thriving.
A groundbreaking micro-enterprise concept that could change peoples lives. How cool is that?

I like kiva. It's like a donation, except you get to help people and later use the same money to help other people, which is cool.

Organizations like this are really helpful. In a way it can provide a good start for those who have the ability and can not pursue because of financial disability. More and more people are being encouraged to take the opportunity and prove oneself in the world of business. So this is a real cool way to help them. More power!
