Add on domain or new domain for sales page?

I don't know whether to promote my sales letter off my blog or from a completely new domain?

In other words:

www.blog.com/salespage.htm
or
www.salespage.com

I want customers to visit my blog if they are not interested in the product but at the same time I don't want to distract them either.

What would you do?

I would set up salespage.com for my sales page and I will market the site on my blog. I would allow each product to be its own entity.

i with do the same with arrival7 because i like to have more control over my business but if your products are related to your blog then it not a bad idea to sell on your blog.

You already got good advice. A further consideration is that you in the future might consider to sell your sales page or blog, then it might be better to have them seperated, e.g. you might want to sell your product but not your whole blog.
