It's a tough nut to crack but if you are committed and time is not an issue and you have a unique angle with something to really offer, go for it...the biggest potential payouts are in the biggest Niches ( for the most part)

Yes, beginner or expert that is a great niche, very competitive but competition means theres money there. Learn before you start and learn more throughout the way. Goodluck!

The weight loss market is huge but also cut-throat competitive.

I'll say this; there are smaller niches in different markets you can target that have comparatively far less competition for their size.

However, if you feel the weight loss market is one you can commit to because you have a genuine interest in it, it's worth the effort to pursue that market as it's highly lucrative once you get past all the noise/clutter.

    Absolutely.

I'm sick to death of these gurus saying that "Beginners may not compete".

What's the deal with that lol? I never understood it.

You can compete within any niche that you want, as long as you're willing to learn. And never lie about your experience.

In fact, you can easily turn your LACK of experience into a major selling angle if you're clever.

So, never let the gurus say that you can't do anything.

    That's my advice.

If i started again i would with the amount of stuff and little tricks i know, but as a beginner i would not recommend it - be waiting years to crack into any sort of top 10 search results, but if you can pull it off as a beginner you will be hooked into the game forever <3

Only the profitable ones are. But don't avoid niches just because they're competitive; just avoid using the exact same marketing methods as the competition.

If you are willing to invest in paid traffic and that you are following a good guide, then that wouldn't be a bad idea, especially if it's in a non-English market.

The free traffic way in the weight loss niche might be a long journey IMO, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try it.

For beginners? You can try but you will see how the competition is, very soon.
Hot competition on Facebook, Youtube or Search engines.

    Good luck

I think if fitness is your passion and you think you have some interesting things to say you must do it. I would recommend you start with a blog, using programs such as Word press, or blogger.com that maybe it's better for a beginner, helping perhaps with google trends. If you want to go another way, from my point of view it is also a good video can be good, posting on youtube I have other similar platforms, where you can also put the link that leads to your site. My advice, do your hobby a job! good luck!

  • It's possible, but I would cut my teeth on something a lot easier. MarketHealth is a great affiliate platform for weight loss niches.

  • Any niche is ok for a beginner, it depends how you tackle it my friend. If your goal is to rank number one make sure you have time on your side. While you are trying to rank get out there and share your stuff use social media, talk to influencers in your niche and show them your work, you might get lucky and they might share it.

Consider targeting sub-niches within the weight loss industry and branching from there. It will take more time, but you will develop more of a foothold, and a stronger reputation.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you can't jump straight in to the deep end, many others before you have done so, but unless you have a very serious angle, it will be very very tough. Where as the competition for say, weight loss for female 60 year olds, will be less competitive than the broad "weight loss"

Admittedly a poor example but you get the idea. If it's a niche you're genuinely interested in, I've no doubt you can think of countless sub-niches you can target.

    Hope this helped.

    So here's the formula again
    Market = Health
    Niche = Weight Loss
Sub Niche = Weight loss for potato guy, weight loss the paleo way, waiht loss for....

Go for a sub niche in this market as the weight loss niche is pratically a market

    Good luck

      It depends. Beginner at what?

If you are an expert at weight loss and a beginner at IM, you could do well with proper positioning and sub-niche selection.

If you are a beginner in the weight loss field, but an expert at IM, you might pull it off.

If you're just another wannabe affiliate with little knowledge or skill in either field, you'll need either a lot of luck or a deal with the devil.

Is it okay for a beginner to enter the weight loss MARKET? Sure, no one's going to land a black helo on your lawn or drag you off to Gitmo if you do. Just do it with your eyes wide open, knowing you've picked one of the most competitive markets online, both in terms of expertise brought to bear and sheer number of potential competitors.

Weight loss niche is very competitive and for a beginner it will be hard to achieve success. For a beginner it's important to stay calm and have to have a long time in hand to do in this niche.

Also if you able to provide useful and unique information from others you'll surely success in this niche.

Every guru that you see now was once a beginner.

The only way to become a "guru" is to overcome the fear of failure and make a lot of mistakes.

There are just some things that you can only learn by screwing up. And it is these things that separate the people who make a little bit of money and the people who make a lot of bit of money.

We often look to "gurus" because they have "insights" that we desire.

Well, guess how they got these "insights"?

They screwed up. They made costly mistakes. They learned hard lessons.

You have every right in every ability to learn those same hard lessons.

All you have to do is overcome yourself. Overcome the thing that is holding you back which is probably fear.

If you are asking on this forum whether or not you are qualified, that is fear manifesting.

Be afraid and do it anyways.

And don't stop doing it UNTIL you become successful.

Ignore everybody else who tells you can't. Just because they can't doesn't mean you can't.

I think that if you can find your own special "angle" to it then it doesn't matter if you are a beginner or not.
If on the other hand you will try to go and "fight" with the big fish on their "territory" your chances are low.

However, going straight to the jaws of Weightloss niche is a very good way of learning and earning too.

Competition should keep you active and thats good. Plus you said you could talk about and write anything about your niche. So give it a shot.

The weight loss niche is very competitive but competition is good. I've just completed a product in the weight loss niche and to be honest it was pretty scary.

But after getting into the research, discovering facts, numbers and so forth it certainly wiped away that fear. (knowing what you're doing can be life-changing). Not to mention all the Incredible help I've received here on the forum! So cool! Any way, I would go for it! There's always room for more as long as it's quality content. People are always looking for something that would help give them that extra edge.

So just roll up your sleeves and get to know your niche and give them what they want and the rest will fall into place.
