Your Thoughts? Witholding bonuses

I am in the process of setting up a new sales page including several bonuses of some value.

A thought just occurred to me, what if someone just wants the bonuses and then requests a refund?

As a way to avoid this, I thought of withholding the bonuses until after the refund period has expired, with an explanatory note on the sales page. But, at the same time, saying they can get the Bonuses earlier, if they email support, stating they are happy with the product and will not be seeking a refund.

Do you think that doing this is going to be counter productive? .. meaning am I likely to lose genuine sales.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

I wouldn't do it that way.

I would tell the prospect that they will receive this bonus on day one. Another on this day. another a few days later and then a special un-advertised bonus later. Give them a really good bonus.
If your prospect is going to refund it, they will do it anyway.
Most of the time is because the product wasn't right for them or just did not understand it.

      I agree with wrcato.
They will get a Refund regardless.

It is just not a conventional way to do business and not a prudent way, imo.

I agree with wrcato and discrat. Removing the bonus and only offer them after the refund period might backfire at you. The bonus usually helps your conversion rates and saying you will only send them after a while will certainly discourage some of your prospects.

If you're looking to reduce refunds by using bonuses, actually you probably should be doing the exact opposite and adding more bonus. The more bonus and value you're able to provide, the fewer refunds you will get.

Now you will always get some refunds. Especially if you're in Clickbank, some people will just buy your product, try to get everything for free, and then ask for a refund. Try to move to a better network, try to offer online memberships instead of ebooks for example, and try to come up with ideas that make people stay with you in order to access everything you're offering.

Hope it helps, and good luck.
