What's the best Landing Page & Helpdesk combination?
The snag is that I also want to have a Help Desk (via a subdomain) or perhaps a Contact Form as well on the same site, so that I can get some feedback from my customers, rather than just assuming that I know what they want/need. I considered that to be a pretty obvious requirement but GR only provided Landing and Thankyou pages - that's it. So I added a hosting account via Namecheap for the Help Desk (osTicket) but getting the DNS settings correct has proven to be a nightmare, in fact I have not managed to get the combination to work yet despite several 'chats' with GR and NC staff.
An alternative approach would be for me to abandon the GR Landing Page and use a service like Weebly instead but that does not appear to facilitate Landing/Squeeze pages as such and there is no provision for A/B testing that I can see - also another obvious feature, surely? Another way would be for me to have a completely separate domain for the Help Desk - indeed I have seen that done on several sites - but I would rather keep everything together, if possible.
I am amazed that it has proven so difficult for me to make this combination work. I can't believe that I am the only person wanting this. I know that there are various 'Landing Page' services around but they seem rather expensive to me, especially given the fact I will need an autoreponder service like GetResponse anyway.
So does anyone reading this have a better solution, please? Or am I missing the point somehow?
Thanking you in anticipation ...
